Hopefully it's not a half-assed port like GTA4 was... that was notorious for performing like ass on even pretty powerful systems.

Now can we have PC Red Dead please R*?

Is this game worth getting?
I've got GTAIV,Red dead.
Is L.A Noire good, and is its online mode like GTA?
Just wondering if this is worth adding to my collection.
Any thoughts?

It's nothing like either of those games, it doesn't have a multiplayer mode either. You go around gathering clues and solving crimes and every now and then you get to shoot people.

I like it but a lot of people didn't because the whole crime solving thing was a bit arbitrary and sometimes was complete guesswork. Clues weren't always evidence of what you thought they were evidence for, either. If you're looking for a GTA IV or RDR clone, though, you'd be better off with Saints Row 3 than LA Noire.

It has a fair few flaws but as long as you like the idea of the gameplay mentioned above it's certainly worth playing. Nothing like those two games though, no.

There would be nothing to do in multiplayer, this isn't a sandbox shooting game like the other games you mention. Watch some gameplay on YouTube.

Holy threadbump Thursday.

4 New Versions of L.A. NOIRE Coming November 14

Today, we're proud to announce new versions of the blockbuster detective thriller L.A. Noire, are scheduled to release on November 14, 2017 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Alongside these three new console versions, we're taking our first steps into virtual reality with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, featuring seven select cases from the original game rebuilt specifically for a virtual reality experience on the HTC VIVE.
Set against the seedy and violent underbelly of 1940’s Los Angeles, L.A. Noire is the story of decorated veteran and newly minted detective Cole Phelps as he investigates an escalating series of cases inspired by real-world crimes. Each successfully solved case brings Phelps greater success, but also brings him closer to the dark criminal heart of post-war L.A.

I was literally thinking fondly of this yesterday and then the news popped up on the Newswire today. Serendipitous.

Still doesn't fix the fact that this game turns to **** fast the minute the Murder Desk finishes. Sours my experience every time.

Also, isn't Team Bondi pretty much dead after it was revealed their studio head was a megalomaniacal asshole? Who is doing the development of this remaster then?

Huh. My ex played it many years ago and I was always curious. I even bought it off her two years ago (PS3), but still haven't actually played it. The question now becomes if I should get this remaster and just start from there instead...

Start from the remaster. Chances are they have all the DLC in this remaster too, so it's a better deal.

Why do they do this? We were promised more story dlc for gta 5 ages ago. It never materialised, they just focus on online dlc and rehashing old games. Its a long wait for Red dead 2 aswell, not amused Rockstar games !

This will be a pick up on Switch for me. It's already a ridiculously packed fall/winter but I always wanted to play L.A. Noire before and this seems the perfect moment to jump in.

It should look great on the Switch, the only thing stopping the facial animations on PS3/360 from holding up is the low resolution textures which should be much less obvious in handheld mode.

I wish I hadn't played it so that I could experience it again, for me it's one of those games that you only play through once. I usually dislike the Telltale/Quantic Dream style of game but L.A. Noire had just enough action to keep me interested.

It was a good game but I never finished it. I also may have to pick this up at some point either Switch or PS4.
