I don't know about other people in this forum but im hoping that rockstar will keep some aspects of San Andreas secret. Although its good to know a few things about this next game, so that you'll have aspects to look forward to reaching, I think what made Vice City that much better for me was the fact that i knew nothing about the game when it was released!, so everything was a surprise.
So what im basically saying is, Do you think there should be surprises that dont get released?. :)
 
Of course there should be secrets that aren't revealed. The game wouldn't be as good if we knew everything about it, I mean the new info that's posted is great because it keeps me wanting the game, but when I get the game I'd be very dissapointed if I didn't discover some new things.
 
Yeah definately!.
I may even go offline from here from a while when the game gets released so as not to ruin any of the missions for me, cause no doubt someone will start the Official GTA San Andreas thread.
 
I'm probably going to do a write up of my San Andreas progress, but I might not because I think no-one will want to read it incase of spoilers.

I also partially agree with R32GTST/M about not wanting to know the info, but I'm also glad I do know, because I wasn't so exited about SA before.

I just realised how close it is to the game being released :D
 
True, I like to have surprises in the game, like it would have been a lot more exciting if PD never told us about the nurburgring, that'd be such a nice little surprise. Back to GTA though, I'd like to keep many little aspects of the game to be secret, they could have kept the modifying your car a bit more secret as that would be fun to discover yourself.
 
Yeah, I was just thinking as I was typing before that it would have been nice if they didn't reveal that. But I'm sure there's some stuff they haven't, and are not going to, reveal.
 
Good point ND4SPD that would have been a good surprise but oh well we know now and the mods look awesome. But there is probably gonna be soooo much under wraps, plus we don't know much of the missions or buildings we can enter.
 
I think it said most buildings can be accessed. I assume nearly all houses can be accessed and I assume many buisness building etc. will be accessable. I really hope there are alot of things R* hasn't told us yet.
 
I really hope that this time we can have a hangar and a boat house where we can store said vehicles like a car...

Thats a really good point!. I never thought of that, with the amount of aircraft and boats( im assuming) that would be awesome!.

OOOH the possibilitys!
 
And on a similar note... will we then be able to customise Planes, choppers, boats?!?! Bikes?

I assume out of that list you will be able to paint all these things (I also assume with there own pattern not just colours) and I think there might be some other different things you can do to them. I hope you can get hold of a hanger and boat shed place thingy (what are they called) when you get a fair bit into the game. I assume once everything is unlocked that you will have access to said item (IF things need to be unlocked).
 
Rockstar has already said they are leaving many things secret. People will be discovering new things about San Andreas for quite a while after release.

Well it certainly got us!

Also, I wish they did keep some things secret, but I'm glad I know. Blake highlighted my reason, in that I wouldn't have been so excited for this if it wasn't for the info. Plus, I'm a planner. I already have what I'm going to do planned out, and my storyline. That's just me. But I admire people like Spuds (who also did this with Vice City) and RancidMilk. I would've said KM, as he said he was going to try this, but I've caught him on 3 separate occasions in the New Details About GTA:SA thread! :lol:

When I'm on holidays, I'm frequently here, so you can't fool me!

Also, Boat docks would be nice, but I don't care much for the Plane Hangars unless you get them in the country. Very fitting there. I've always wished for my own Boat Docks, so who knows.

Well, they haven't revealed things like if you can get petrol, information on Hidden Packages, Rampages, etc. Whether bikes, boats and planes get damaged, etc. There would also be things we don't expect that they haven't revealed, so who knows.

I can't wait.
 
That too. They said similar to Vice City though (this was a magazine who watched the game being played that told of this). There are also different bars and things to be revealed off of this, so that's true Blake.
 
Personally, I think they should only release the bare minimum amount of details.

  • Possible release date
  • Main characters
  • Theme
  • Settings

All the rest would then be bonus material.
 
I like knowing about the new features. Plus, if you don't wanna know about them, don't read them! :lol: Just kidding.

Well, actually I don't due to the posts usually being so long (:indiff:). However, the more notable features somehow make it into my MSN convos, which is where I find out about most of them.

Yeah. Gotta hate that. At least you don't know everything, so you will be in for quite a shocl anyway. 👍
 
I kinda wish they had of just released the bare minimum, but from a marketing perspective they have to build up a want for the game buy slowly releasing tidbits of information.
But once they release the map of Venturas ill be leaving this forum till ive experienced the game for a while on my own.

Don't worry. It was just a surfing picture that seemed to be linked under a post of mine, and it looked like I posted it. It's not there anymore, so I don't understand.

I meant when they officially release the whole map on the official site, thus far the one we can see now(the placeholder) has part of the top missing and there is no desert.
Plus i wanna see the movies from that part.:)
