What should the classes be?

So as it stands they field may actually be quite evenly matched.

Ferrari 458 Italia (Tuned to 500bhp/1485kg) - 1:47.253 on Racing Softs {Aero Wing installed}

I forgot to take off the weight (oops), and did the same sort of tinkering I did with the Audi R8. I did that time after doing a 1:47.9.... and a 1:47.6....

The pole will be closing on Wednesday morning that is when we will know what class we are useing and then we will do testing tryouts and practice for the series

when we do qualifying it is the top 8 drivers there can be up to 16 in a class and the qualifying races will be 10 laps for each class and you can only qualify for one class and that is the class u r stuck in until the end of the season ok the 16 drivers thing is only for if we dont do teams and if we do there can only be 8 teams 2 drivers per team and if there r 2 partners in the top 8 both drivers r in the race

James brought up a really cool idea for qualifing. wether this is just to see if who gets into the series or if this will happen every week. the idea is... there will be qualifing races for each class 16 people but really like 14 because someone will have to watch and post the results because no one likes cheaters and the top 8 cars in each class will be in.

this will be every week and the qualifying races will be at seprate times so we can have someone watching the races so it would be 16 drivers racing for 8 spots

will everyone that is truly intrested in this series make the url for this forum part of there signiture so we can get the word out about the series

When you say you are tuck with this class until the end of the season, does the season restart each week?

Maybe I missed something, how many races are there per season?

10 and Friday 1 hour 30 minute practice then Saturday we will be doing a 20 lap qualifying race and both classes will race at the same time and the way you finish in the qualifier race is where you start in your class when we start the race if I need to explain how we will be qualifying a little more please tell me

Will two drivers please volunteer to do some testing for the series

The past two days me and polar have been making rules regulations and HP weight and speed restrictions to make it seem like the real Rolex series

Do you guys think there should be a top speed limit with the gear ratios? How high should it be for each class?

Possibly, but take into account what the rev limit of each car will be, and that the bhp limiting will probably result in a nose dive in torque the closer to the rev limit the cars get, moreso for the DP cars.

You should probably do a speed test on the max top speeds for a few cars on certain tracks, catering in the max and min downforce that can be applied in each case.

Think about it. You'll want to strike the best possible gear ratio for the guidelines already set, and for the car's optimum performance under those guidelines.

I looked on an actual Rolex series website and I found that the rules have the two classes speed limits set to 185 for DP and 180 for Gt class

tomorrow is the LAST DAY to vote! make sure to get those votes in so we can see and if you voted make sure to comment so we can see if you want to race

Tomorrow there will be either a new thread for the decided set of rules like for the Rolex series because that is what won really the only question is teams or not so this one will either be totally overhauled or there will be a link to the new one but either way stay tuned! And get ready to sign up for this fun series!

New thread in race leagues called official Rolex series

looks fun, but I can not come

At the moment my TV is not working, so unless this doesn't start for a while I might not be able to make the first couple of races.
