On various runs of the Rome 2 Hour endurance race, I'm come across a non-serious, but odd glitch with the timer when I finish the race, where it shows some AI cars are behind me, but it shows that they're behind by a negative amount of time. It only seems to be a graphical thing that doesn't affect the outcome of the race, and it only seems to happen here. I haven't noticed any consistency in how it occurs, and it doesn't always happen. Does anyone know what causes this?

And a regular one:

Also, for the one with the 3000GT, it looks like the times are reversed too? Except for the R390 that's a lap down.

wow that's very odd.

How'd you win using Lancer? xD
By using the Lancer. If you can manage to dial out some of the understeer, it's not so bad. The car comes with yaw control, which helps. That's not the only crazy endurance run I've done. I've also run a Cappuccino in the Apricot Hill endurance (sans GT40) and a Corolla WRC (The one you can win at the Rome endurance) at Laguna Seca.

Late to the party, but who cares.

It's because of the way the timer works. Essentially, the checkered flag comes out at 2:00 exactly so whatever lap you're on is the last lap. So in the case of the 3000GT race, the GT-One that came in second finished its last lap a minute before you finished yours.

If you had lapped the field, I think you could park your car after the time ran out and wait as long as you wanted to finish. But I've hardly played any PlayStation games at all since getting my LCD TV. (frame delay, plus I just ran out of steam anyway).

Also there was a lap limt (99) too, which I managed once in an Excuso, but I think other people might have done with other cars, too.
