I got home this morning and i started the rome enduro. I'm using the fo90/h, of course, as it rocks. I noticed that is said 'lap x' instead of 'lap x/x', with the variable x benig hte lap out of lap what ever. But, the total time is running normal, so i figure you have ot an hour of racing, instead of doing what should be an hour worth of laps. Coll..new design over GT2. Better to figure, as i can stend two hours donig hat and still win in that car...I do my hour of racing, and i finish the lap after the 60 minutes, as i was half-way through the course. I figured this was normal, bas is i finished my lap, it kept going. I do another lap, keep going. So, i quit, and it says nobody finished they're race. I load the start part back up, which says the normal 'race' 'qualify' 'settings' etc.

But the lap amount said '0 laps'. Is that normal, or should it be i should have dome some more laps, or what??????

The race is a 2 hour race. There is no set number of laps - you keep racing until the timer says "120'00.000". When the leader finishes the lap he's on when that time passes, the race finishes.

No lap number is shown because there is no set number of laps.

oh..i thougth it was a one hour race. Sorry.

Oh, and the re. thread, i thougth i his reply, but i hit new thread. Can u delete it?

EDIT: i thoguth it said hour...my bad.

You meant to reply, not make a new thread, didn't you...? :D Now I bet you feel REALLY stupid :D Don't worry - a moderator will merge the threads later on...

The game clearly says it's a 2 hour endurance race...

Not sure... I think YOU may be able to, but failing that a moderator will mop it up, or maybe merge the threads a little later on.

Don't worry, in an F1 car like you're driving, you should be able to finish it in 1h 47-50 min or so.

It's a 2 hour race no matter what car your in. And theere was a couple of races with set lenths in GT2 as well.

well if your in a F1 car just do alot of good laps then let it sit while the time runs so you dont have to race. Hopefully you will have lapped 2nd a few times so that you can take breaks. thats what i did.

Damn, that's where I went wrong! I did it in a Pink Vitz and it took me 2 hours 45 mins!

Yep when the time gets close to 2hrs just wait before the line and as soon as it goes over 2hrs cross the line, saves you doing that extra lap.

I wish I didn't have to do that last time I did the Passage To Collosseo, I also wish the bloody Griffith had shown up. :irked:

Holy crap! From people not knowing it's a 2 hour race to the other guy who would quit races in the amateur mode after 2 laps because he didn't realize they were 3 lap races... geez... Do you realize how absolutely stupid you kids sound when you start a topic like this? I feel sorry for your parents. They'll be taking care of you forever...

i remember how i used to do those 2 hour races.....I remember how it took me 24+ hours to do a 2 hour race

I would wake up, turn on PS2 and start race....then play for a like 15 minutes, then pause it and go to school

then come back from school...got hw....dinner...then TV. after that, play another....1 hour...pause, then sleep

then next morning, 15 minutes, then finish it when i got home from school that day.

so it basically took me more than 24 hours to finish a 2 hour endurance

dad and i did laguna seca race twice in one day. then gran valley the next day.

Any way the reason we did laguna seca twice is well we started with the clio race car and dad drove half of the race. (kep spinning out and crashing) any way by lap 50 of 90 we were nearly one lap down (1min 20seconds) and with 40 laps to go and the vertigo only pits 2 times in the whole race compared to our 4 or 5 i had to catch him at 2seconds a lap 1:20 or better and pit as little as possible. Its all good until 5 laps to go and he is 5 seconds ahead, easy considering ive raced around 2 sec a lap faster for the past 45 laps, but my tires were red so i counld catch him. 2 hours to complete the race and I lost by 5seconds. Dad did the race again in a 787B. He also did the grand vally in the 787B.

So after 24hrs we did 940km

FU Chico!

If youre doing the Rome 2 Hour Enduro. I would suggest using a car that is slightly faster than the others. Some idiot friend of mine used an F1 and ended up doing like way more laps than you have to. Its also not fun when you are just doing laps basically by yourself, for 2 hours. I am glad I finished those races.

I just finished it like last night. I used the Fo90 and pretty much sat in corners most of the lasts, using up time. I swear a snail would have been more comp.

Well, anywayz, thanks.

I used the p001, counted all lappings and made a brief calculation at 1h 30mins raced.. as I remembered it I could leave the game running for itself the last 15 mins then just cross the line and win with one or two laps.

Here's a tip for you... The Griffith - the car which will win if it's there, and therefore the fastest of the AI cars - can only manage 73 laps in the allotted 2 hours. If you're in a superfast car, do 74 laps and you can stop (actually you need to do 73 and most of a 74th, then wait for the 2hr to tick past and roll over the line)

Or, you can be as insane as me, and carry on to lap 112...

I honestly have to ask, what did you expect?! Of course there was no competition. You were running a race car from one of the fastest classes of roadrace cars on the planet, against a fairly normal set of street cars. I ran it in a stock Ruf 3400S and pitted more than necessary, and it was still a blowout.
Sheesh.

I used a Mustang SVT Cobra Arr! with some suspension and gear mods. It was fairly fun, but after you put a lap on that Griffith it does get a bit boring. So I just treated it as a time trial trying to beat my lap record.

Okay, let me clue you in: Duke was being facetious. (For those of you who don't read "It pays to enrich your word power" in Reader's Digest--"facetious" --joking, kidding, in a sardonic or sarcastic manner).

Anyway I had a lot of fun in this race with a 250 HP Honda Civic Type R.
UB57 has done it in the Vitz!
I have also done it in a Fully modded Toyota MR-S. If you use the right tires you can win on pit strategy, and be "in traffic" enough of the time to keep things interesting.
