Rome free roam?

If you look at the new news article on the GTP news section, they will add a new car the Toyota 86 and also the appears to be a Rome type track with no barriers! Could this be free roam? Maybe we can find a better drag strip on this new free roam track! Here's to hoping we get an amazing update and DLC in December!! 👍
 
I agree that we'll get the Toyota 86, but I doubt we're getting a variation of the Rome circuit.

I'm sure PD has the Rome track fully modeled and can remove those barriers as they please for one-off renderings.
 
As cool as a bit of free roaming would be, I don't think this is where PDs priorities should lie.

The only possibility I could see is a new variation of the Rome circuit, but almost definitely not a Drag strip.

I didnt say that it would be a drag strip but just like indy, it my have a 1/4 mile on the track
 
Didn't a bunch of sources hint of a "C-Spec" mode or free roam mode WAAAAYYYY back? Maybe it's becoming a reality for all city tracks...

C-spec? Is that like a mix of a-spec and b-spec? It would be awesome if you could just put in the middle of a race and let your b-spec bob race for a while

Ah, because In GT4 you could choose whether to do a race in A-Spec or B-Spec, but I don't know about switching around in the actual race...

Yea it worked great too. I liked to to endurance races with it. The 24 hr races were much much easier.
 
Well, light to light drags would be great fun. I'm sure the fact that it could be a freestyle drift area will be fun too.
 
Kaz did say that he would love to add free roam to the Gran Turismo franchise. It might be a hint of what's coming for GT6

It may be a hint at what's coming to GT5 for that matter.
