i made it to 317mph driving my minolta in a veyron and LMP only race, then a d!ck drafted me in his veyron and slammed me into the wall. if my car had not of been redlining it at 317 he would have never caught me.
 
I keep wanting to draft but people online don't seem to want to.

I've set up a room to try and break the 500mph barrier. It's going to take a few people who know how to get the most out of their X1's in order to achieve this though.

It depends on how fast you can get the X2011 to go. If you have one X2011 drafting behind two other X2011s you could perhaps hit 370-380 mph (somewhere in the neighbourhood of 600 km/h).

It requires some coordination though...

I was drafting two Cadillac Ciens, so there probably is room for improvement, but 380 mph? That's absurd.
EDIT : I should mention again that I was using a Mercedes-Benz SL600.

Ive got 393! mph in practice mode drafting other x2011's it was ridiculous :D
 
What's with all the sparks? Is your suspension not hard enough or is the downforce getting stronger and stronger with the speed?
 
482km/h in a Toyota GT1 without draft:sly:

And 536km/h in my X2011:D

perhaps I can take pictures of the speed record.

ZR1 Top speed 250 mph

Veyron Top speed 277 mph

Viper ACR Top speed 251 mph

F599 GTB Top speed 249 mph

Really wish i'd thought to save the replay where i got my Merc sl65 up to 361mph. With no evidence i could of just plucked a number out of the air but i got it, 361 showed briefly, with a grid of X1s i'm wondering what would be possible with it.
 
Just one question (since I don't have a PS3): Is the Suzuki Escudo wheelie glitch finally fixed in GT5? Because if it's not, then I bet the Escudo can go faster than any of these cars.
 
The Suzuki Escudo is very different to how it was in previous GTs. No matter how you seem to set it up, it won't go above 197mph (unless someone has somehow managed to make it go faster).

FINALLY! :cheers: Here's hoping they get Pikes Peak again! Man how I miss that track! :( (Although I miss going twice as fast as the speed of sound :sly:)
 
Last night I managed to hit 590km/h (around 365mph I think) using the X2011 on One Make Race. I did aim to get past 600 but my draft timing was bad.
