Yep. It is weird, also I know when you get backwards entry on dfgt is does the same. I think it is because the front wheels are lockin up causing to skid and steer easier?

It's weird because that's what happens in real life. Do you think racing drivers just smash the brakes all the way down to get it to turn? No, your car would lose steering because the wheels are locked up.

Yep. Like i said it depends on your brake power and how hard you pay attention to your braking.

But anyway tomorrow I might duplicate that lap again while on my wheel. It is rather difficult. I will be doing it on comfort softs or comfort medium tires. I am pretty sure I can still do it

I adjust the brake balance in every car i drive. Specially on that yellow bird. I adjust it because in no way does any car i have ever seen have a 50/50 brake balance.

Actually, i think GT5 simulated the brake balance, even if it says it is 50/50... because the lap i did with that CTR, i did not change anything, so brake balance was 50/50 and it felt completelly different than any car i did such thing.

I never notice unless I have the balance too high or brake wrong. But like I have said before 9/10 cars I drive in real life I actually remove the fuse/relay that turns off ABS. I really think it is pointless to have in real life or in the game.

Actually ABS is very important in real life... because you were saying, it brakes in a longer distance... That might be true but when you have ABS you can steer while braking.

Because you must think this way, ABS is a safety feature, to be used in a panic situation, for example, a person out of nowhere crossing the street. Everyone's reaction will be slam on the brakes, with or without ABS. That is when the ABS starts to get advantage.



Also, in real life you are in traffic about 95% of the time, and about 95% of the drivers are avarage normal drivers. So, it is not pointless.

I said completely pointless in snow (which is 100% correct even with up to date cars). I guess i have the skill not to panic and slam on my brakes. I live in Detroit so people cutting in front of me is something I deal with 80% of the time driving so i don't slam on the brakes. Honestly the average driver maybe no they need ABS because they do not have the skill to do without it.

Also you can steer without ABS you need to learn proper braking skills if you can't. Also the CTR Yellowbird does not (just like 98% of vehicles on the road) have a 50/50 brake balance (which is front and rear at five). I guess i just have the experience because i know i can stop faster than someone with ABS.

Anyway let's continue this talk if any more is needed in a PM.

okay iff i see 1 more off topic message i will shut this tread down myself! i mean it i am sick of seeing people messing up the tread i put so much work in , we are now at 4100 posts or something and that could be alot more iff we didnt mess up our old tread, so guys i dont care about what you wanna talk , take it elsewhere, iff you have your own tread running well and people mess it up , then maybe you will understand , so please stop! im am really sick of this!

I think that was a bit of an over reaction but i agree, i dont know when this Thread became a public chat to discuss random topics. Ever since that Hybrid cars or whatever thing started this suddenly became the off topic central i guess, now it seems to be way too much.

Oh and the RedSuns Mafia Group is a Social Group in Clubs and Fans Groups that Eric created for the members of the team (mostly to avoid this kind of off topic situation). Everyone thats part of RSM is a member, can be seen in Group Memberships of our GTP profiles.

Listen to Marbel we dont want our thread locked, all this hybrid talk is doing my head in too. Any way back on topic, who's up for a slide later I should be on tonight, I haven't been on much recently for obvious reasons but I'm back now :).

That is true that is a team only group. But i mean i don't think people has a problem with you sharing something DA, this is a general situation with several people that, in my opinion, becomes a problem when a page or even more pages of the thread are filled with only messages about an off topic subject, it eventually turns out of control.

What im trying to say is that is great people share stuff with each other and RSM in the thread, it keeps the thread fun sometimes but when it gets to much it can be annoying and can even put our thread at risk.

Honestly i think the problem in here, even with the ABS thing that happened recently, is the Hybrid cars situation, its been talked so much in here and frankly it has nothing to do with this thread i have no idea why everyone keeps bringing that random subject into this thread over and over. I have nothing against that Hybrid thing (aslong as it keeps HP controlled, realistic, not ruining the game, etc) but it has nothing to do with our team thread and i dont see the point, in my opinion thats the biggest off topic problem we have here.

Thanks everyone for taking the hybrid thing else where. This weekend we will have a team meeting Saturday after VDC qualifying is over. Friday night we will have VDC practice session and we will see if we can get Spank on to help say what we are doing right/wrong. I really want a podium this time around so we can get RSM back on top. Saturday night we will have a VDC tandem practice for everyone that made the top 8. Anyway see you all Friday!
