If you want 3 P1 positions simply by eliminating my times, so be it. It's your thread. You just might want to add that the rules are subject to change at the whim of the thread starter.
That wouldn't be fair. And all I'm trying to enforce here is fairness.
If you choose to change the rules, so be it. If so, good luck with this thread. I'm guessing it will go nowhere.
The funny thing is that the thread has been running since August without any problems, save for lack of posting, but that's something I have no control over. No one has complained or had any problems regarding the rules of the competition except for you. And the moment you did have an apparent problem with the understanding of them I cleared them in the best way I could and even cleared it up in the first post.
Seems like it would be alot easier to admit that you're wrong, & open the thread to a little creativity.
I think you understood things like you wanted to. My explaining of them to Wally may seem a bit off, but he was asking about a non-power mod and I answered his question regarding non-power mods. Had he asked about adding or not additional power, I would've said no.
As for opening it to a little creativity, keep in mind this isn't my website. Everyone can open a thread and add times to it as they see fit. You're more than welcome to open your own and add your own set of rules and have other people add in times as they want to.
In fact, there was a time when GTP had a leaderboard. In that leaderboard you could put your best times and had to list every mod, so you could avoid some, avoid all, put everything into it or do whatever you pleased. And frankly, there was hardly any equality in it.
What's the challenge of doing a hotlap in a car with a certain tuning availability if a moment later you're going to submit a time done with almost the exact list except for a 10 kgs. ballast increase? The result would be a leaderboard with about 10 million times due to too many combinations available.
I'm trying to put a set of rules that have a certain degree of freedom. The rules and settings are in the first post.
FWIW, I also have P1 times for 3.000-3.999 & 4.000-4.999 in the bag that I haven't bothered posting, knowing that you would be butt hurt.
And a P3 time for 1.000-2.999 in the Cadillac Cien with all the mods.
That's great man. If you want to, you may post them, unless of course you have no proof of them or are only later going to make a post saying how you put this and that mod in it and later avoided others.
If you're upset because I took down your P1 times, then go by the rules, try harder and you'll find out your times are much better than mine. I rarely run more than 3 laps on each car. The problem is the Trials have restrictions; and restrictions are never popular with anyone, on the web or off.
