If you want 3 P1 positions simply by eliminating my times, so be it. It's your thread. You just might want to add that the rules are subject to change at the whim of the thread starter.

That wouldn't be fair. And all I'm trying to enforce here is fairness.

If you choose to change the rules, so be it. If so, good luck with this thread. I'm guessing it will go nowhere.

The funny thing is that the thread has been running since August without any problems, save for lack of posting, but that's something I have no control over. No one has complained or had any problems regarding the rules of the competition except for you. And the moment you did have an apparent problem with the understanding of them I cleared them in the best way I could and even cleared it up in the first post.

Seems like it would be alot easier to admit that you're wrong, & open the thread to a little creativity.

I think you understood things like you wanted to. My explaining of them to Wally may seem a bit off, but he was asking about a non-power mod and I answered his question regarding non-power mods. Had he asked about adding or not additional power, I would've said no.

As for opening it to a little creativity, keep in mind this isn't my website. Everyone can open a thread and add times to it as they see fit. You're more than welcome to open your own and add your own set of rules and have other people add in times as they want to.

In fact, there was a time when GTP had a leaderboard. In that leaderboard you could put your best times and had to list every mod, so you could avoid some, avoid all, put everything into it or do whatever you pleased. And frankly, there was hardly any equality in it.

What's the challenge of doing a hotlap in a car with a certain tuning availability if a moment later you're going to submit a time done with almost the exact list except for a 10 kgs. ballast increase? The result would be a leaderboard with about 10 million times due to too many combinations available.

I'm trying to put a set of rules that have a certain degree of freedom. The rules and settings are in the first post.

FWIW, I also have P1 times for 3.000-3.999 & 4.000-4.999 in the bag that I haven't bothered posting, knowing that you would be butt hurt.
And a P3 time for 1.000-2.999 in the Cadillac Cien with all the mods.

That's great man. If you want to, you may post them, unless of course you have no proof of them or are only later going to make a post saying how you put this and that mod in it and later avoided others.

If you're upset because I took down your P1 times, then go by the rules, try harder and you'll find out your times are much better than mine. I rarely run more than 3 laps on each car. The problem is the Trials have restrictions; and restrictions are never popular with anyone, on the web or off.

I don't have a problem with rules. I read the entire thread & acted accordingly. In post 30 Wally CLEARLY asks about power mods, & in post 31 you CLEARLY replied about power mods. The fact that you continue to choose to ignore that & changed the rules is what I have a problem with. Like I said though, it's your thread & I wish you well with it. I just happen to believe that you've ruined a good thing.

Im gunning for your 7'46 in my RENAULT 5 TURBO '86 Diego!

I went out on my first lap and layed down an early 8'xx.xxx but i span twice! Thats one hard car to keep control of at high speeds, even with the R3's!

Yup... rear end seems to have a mind of its own. Good luck 👍

*updated time* shaved off about 3 seconds, i highly recommend this to any who wants a wild ride, its a FF that oversteers more than most RWD cars!

p.s thank god im not the only one who hates guitar hero!

p.p.s diego, i gave up on the R5 i just couldnt get down a clean lap, after 7 tries i sold it!

Bossy!

C'mon man, you'll have no-one posting in here soon if you dont stop picking on the entrants.....

I might have to start posting times again...... and where will that get us....

Indeed you can. Just make sure you put UPDATED at the end of it. I think I mentioned something about it in the first post.

I'll be posting some new times over the weekend as well.

It would be cool to see a row between you two on this one.

That being said, I won't pretend Superhero Wally and/or VEXD are the best GT4 drivers in the world. However, they're quite good and it took them quite some time and battling to get the times they did with the Mazda RX-7 Spirit-R Type A '02; them being:

6'53.014 - Superhero Wally - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A '02
6'53.843 - VEXD - Mazda RX-7 Spirit-R Type A '02

The issue I'm having is that Vtec Inside, you're claiming a time of 6'42.492. Now is this a typo or did you really drop their times by more than 10 seconds? If it's not a typo, I'd like to request proof, in the form of an updated video or a .max file.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm all for posting challenging times (even if mine aren't really), and challenging each other's times all around. And your times seem reallyy good to go against the rest, but the RX-7 one is just too much.

Hmmmm....

Ive posted the wooden spoon and plastic bowl on an overnight to las canarias yaygo.

I managed this for starters in the 'teg:

7'45.054-VEXD-Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC2) '98-237hp/1015kg

Beat me, and i'll come back with faster vtec.... lets race 👍

I ran ONE lap with the Acura NSX just to see where his times stack up Di, and i got 7'05.996 with 2 fall-offs, so it makes sense there, but i agree with the RX-7 time, there's no one around here that beats SuperheroWally by ten seconds, unless theyve got a different tune level on the car, or they made a mistake on their post.
Forgive me if im wrong vtec, and please make me eat my words, but i ran that combo for an hour or two, and i know there wasnt much time left to squeeze out of it, so 10 seconds is a large amount.

Either way, lets see what you got in the teg, and race on!

:irked:👍

I agree and think it's a typo... mebbe I came out sounding harsher than I meant. Of course the NSX time is alright, it's close to mine!

Sorry, typo 6'52.492. :) Yeah, I couldn't imagine beating them by 10 seconds. BTW the RX-8 time was done with a RX-8 Type E, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for not taking it out on me VEXD (it was a typo). :) I can't afford to cheat, I don't have the equipment to provide video evidence against it. I'm pretty good with a car, especially the Honda's, I'm used to driving them. I'll get that DC2 time for you soon, I'm afraid you will be stiff competition, but glad for the challenge with a like minded Honda driver. Peace out. BTW. I have Logitech G25, what do you use?

Thanks for the swift response. Had us kinda worried there for a second.

Here's what I got so far VEXD. Curiously my teg has almost ten less horses than yours, it's got 19,500 miles.
