Rubber band trick

how many people here use the rubber band trick? i'm using it right now. If you don't know what it is... it means taking your car to the super spedway enduro... setting acceleration to left on the right joystick... and then starting the race. You need to do a few laps at the start to get some tire wear... then put a rubberband between the joysticks and let the race be won by you with no effort. You will need a fast car though, im using my suzuki escudo pikes peek version... I also set up a penny to hold the left joystick a little bit more to the center, so that i don't steer fully into the wall.

O ya i forgot I have done that enduro 3 times and now have 600,000 crd. from that race plus i ended up with 3 corvette c5r's... all i wanted was that f1 car but i keep getting corvette's

Uh, okay that brings up a big Q:

I was under the impression you could only win a race or series prize car once and after that you only got the cash. Is this not the case? Are the Endurance races different in this regard?

Okay, so can you win prize cars over and over on other races too? Forgive me, I'm away from home for the week and cannot check for myself.

Well holy frickin' cow! I was under the impression from a long time ago and from nowhere particular that once you won a prize car for an event, the game was done giving up prize cars for it and I was pooh out of luck if I didn't get the one I wanted (assuming I knew which ones were available after checking the lists).

Because of this I haven't competed in races more than once, unless I didn't win first place on the initial go round.

Thanks.

Dolbytone: a little clarification is in order!

If there is only ONE prize car to be awarded (not chosen from a selection), then you can only win ONE copy of that car. Afterwards, you just get the money.

But after the enduros and the series races, where you get a car selected at random from a selection of several, you get a car every time you beat that race or series. You can get multiple copies of all four selections if you run the race enough times.

Yeah, I plan on it but I haven't seen one in a while. I'll grab the next one I find lying around. For the most part though, I like to only use cars I've collected/earned myself. I used to collect GT2 garages and ended up finding out most of the cars were Sharked.... damn buncha lazy asses always wanting to Shark everything out of a game instead of earning it. I ended up collecting all the prize cars in every color the hard way.

FYI...somebody asked for a pic.

Run the Escudo very low, very stiff, high on the stabilizers and superslick tires.

Also, I have changed the acceleration to L2 and turned off vibration. Tape down L2 and start the race. Check back in an hour and collect your $200k plus new prize car. Yes, it is cheating .... don't do it if you do not want to. (I have a 13 month old and 60-hour per week job so I feel justified.)

Good Luck

if your going to cheat useing your little rubberband trick you mise well just get a game shark or shark port. Its alot easier alot quicker and if its because you think a gameshark or a shark port is too expensive think again heard that excuse before well not really but it sounds kinda vicious dont it anyways im sure if you go to a hawk shop you can find one for like 5 bucks or search the web and im sure youll find a free one somewhere

use periods, man.

i've never done this before, but i have taped the accelerator down on my GT-ONE to win this race. although, with that strategy, i had to steer the thing out of the wall every 10-5 minutes. i'll try this.
