I have a Rubik's Cube still in it's original packaging. I have no reason why I have this. I think my mother might have saved one for posterity.
Hope it's worth some money one day.

The middle one in the top row was my favorite.
Very interesting and mind boggling.

Did you ever take the color stickers off and match them all up again because you had so hopelessly screwed up the cube and there was no way in hell you would ever be able to get it back?

Well, sadly yes. A few months ago I had a rather reckless friend over and he took a Rubik's cube, that my father had done when he was around 20 years old or something, and screwed it up.
He sat there for about 15 Minutes saying "No, no i just about got it." But he kept digging himself deeper and deeper. So eventually I said "Just give it here" and he went home and spent the rest of that nigh meticulously taking off each and every sticker, applying some glue on it and replacing it back so that all of the colors were aligned once again. I did a pretty good job too I might add.
My father still hasn't found out to this day.![]()

Famine got into Rubik's cube in another thread and I instantly got to think about the spinoffs it created in the 80's. remember the "snake" and pyramid cube? I liked the snake a lot, it could create a lot of different figures like birds etc.

Rubik's Snake and Rubik's Triangle... Mmm. Got both
I actually didn't mention the Rubik's Cube - I hated that damn thing, although my brother was rather good at it and still to this day uses his Rubik's Calender - a Cube with days/dates scribbled on it... Y2K proof!
I mentioned the Rubik's Magic - I preferred the 8 tile, 3 ring one to the harder 10 tile, 5 ring one though.
