well this is a first for RUF then, this is probably the most ground up car they have ever build even if it does have some cayman/911 blood in it (a RUF wouldn't be a RUF without some porsche blood)

Just to add more , when I opened door the body worked felt so diffrent than any car that I touched , I'm not sure if its the body work or the paint but it felt so diifrent the interior is lush, and this car sounds nuts

I still think its kinda weird that they're using the CTR name, seems like they could've used a new name for this new car and saved CTR3 for the next insane 911 based creation

No it's not a first for Ruf, they created a car called the Ruf R50 ages ago, sadly it stalled but they've done ground up before.

My take is that the R50 stalled then Ruf went to work on this instead.
The R50 is actually the "father" of this vehicle much similar to how the Lamborghini Canto spawned the Diablo VT 6.0 of 2001.

Damn that looks almost like a test bed for this car, were any of them ever sold?
It essentially was. It was really never confirmed that the R50 project was dead, and I was told repeatedly by Ruf Auto Centre that Ruf was developing a supercar to continue on the R50 project.

The R50 never sold, but it is an available car in PGR3.

It's a love or hate design, but for I, and most, it's definately all-love. Cayman-style front on a Carrera GT-style rear with some serious performance; perfect combination.
