Have to dispute this.
Original Mini = British
New Mini is unfortunately not.

Unfortunately this is correct, I did actually mention this in the OP.

Patriotic till the end and this is how we created the British empire ;)

Any car that was from britain will always be british to me! Vauxhalll , lotus , aston martin , jaguar , mclaren , caterham , AC Cars... etc.
Vauxhall uses Opels as base models. No english nothing is english they're all run by foreigners everything on that little island.

The Vauxhall product range is largely identical to that of Opel, GM's German subsidiary, and most models are principally designed in Rüsselsheim, Germany.[6] A high proportion of Vauxhall-branded vehicles sold in the UK are produced at Opel factories in Germany, Spain and Poland, and roughly 80% of Vauxhall production is exported, most of which is sold under the Opel brand.

No love so far for the mk1 elise? With RM it's a brilliant little car. I'll have to take some pics of my matte green mk1 RM.

Here's a few shots of my latest purchase, finally had the Guardsman Blue / White stripes show up in the UCD.
