Expert Level PP600 online is a fun race. I wish more people would join it. There is a plethora of vehicles that can be tuned to be competitive in this event. Although the track feels kind of like nascar with all the drafting you aren't limited to the Ford GT LM. It really is an open event.

Your talking about Daytona Oval, yes? I'm tuning up an Alfa for that race, pretty quick too! 👍

The Alfa is a beast! I am having a blast buying cars and throwing some r3's on, dropping the weight, cranking the HP and lowering the car. Fun little event.

Look for me in the Ferrari 512. I've been having a blast today. Like Turkeyburger says, lots of different cars are competitive. See you there xx:10, xx:20 etc

I'll second that. I've won a couple of races with the Lexus. It quite leisurely to accelerate up to speed, but once it's up to speed it's surprisingly fast.
And it doesn't need R3's, so you can use the points for more power.

I was having a good time with the 02 viper a few min ago. I dropped it all the way to S3 tires, theres a little to much grip there if you ask me. I do aggre though at daytona speed is what you need so if you can make the car go fast it can be competitive 👍

I was quite competitive in a Nissan Skyline Coupe last night - racing with LOVEISDEAD, GTP_KumaBar, GTP_BBallBri, and a few others I can't remember was FANTASTIC! I owned the corners in a staggered R2/R1 configuration but needed a tad bit more power - LOVEISDEAD was kicking my butt early until I found the right tune and got competitive - gonna check out some more cars tonight.

This really is a race of inches at 600PP - sometimes I'll even just draft until the last 2 turns rather than just pass and run. Bad mouth it all you want, but there is just as much tuning and strategy in Daytona Oval as any other race. And, if you get tired of turning left all the time then turn around and go the other way after I go by you! ;)

OMG, that's the car i was driving there this afternoon (GMT+2) and i rocked them all. :sly:

So true , that wall on turn 4 Daytona , if only it was a few inches back :nervous: , we could have had a photo finish , good job out there !

Alright pal, I thought I recognised your name! You were a regular on the Daytona Speedway 700pp STD a while back. I've got some videos of the races back then to put up here, and I've just seen a couple of you in your blue Mines Skyline. Your a good clean racer - even with the little 'innocent' knocks I gave ya! Respect man! 👍

^^^
I recognize the name , but not your car , sorry. I do remember your technique , you were clean about it . I can understand love taps and minor racing incidents , they really don't bother me , because I have done the same , it's part of racing , it's like we all say in this forum : @&*%^*! punters !!!!!! . thanks for the compliment !!!

I love the Expert 600 PP events, especially when they had Suzuka. I don't know I am just not a real big fan of the oval. Don't get me wrong it's not a course for wusses or anything, I just don't find it very fun. :)

ImagineByLennon yeah dude that was really a fun race! You race really clean. You just had more skill to control that last turn! I was yelling in my apartment when I dinged that wall lol! I like the class of 600pp because I have seen SO many cars out there that I rarely see race online. It is pretty sweet. I have run so many cars I have never even driven before. It is really cool. The oval does get pretty boring. It will be a huge change for me to go from something like the oval to GT5 hopefully having the ring. They need to up the ante and get me prepared by slowly increasing the difficulty in tracks.

Here's a car that has the potential to rip it up... The trusty ole ITR! For real! I've had a couple of podium places with that car just now. Bang on some R1's, and make it as powerful and as light as you can, then rip it up!

OK, its not the fastest car, and it lacks any serious acceleration, but tuck in behind some car, and you can keep up with the best of them - I've been drafting R8's, and F430's right up to the finish line! I bet there were a few WTF!? moments when I flew past them cars in my lil' ole ITR!

At first, I grumbled when they lowered the points requirement on this track, but in hindsight, it was a master stroke! Literally any car can be competitive with some good tuning! See you up front were the air is clean, and the road is free! 👍

Finally! I can get back to my XK and get some wins again! I look forward to seeing rexc in his 512BB again 👍 like the old days, heh.

Yeah, this has been a fun event despite my general disdain for oval tracks. I've taken some golds in the Art Morrison, the Elise Tuned, and some silvers in the 91' Lancia. I've also been very competitive in the wonderful Ferrari 512, but so far I've been punted every time I use it, so I can't really say yet how well it does compared to the others I have driven. I'm definitely enjoying all the different cars I'm seeing out there.

Try the Lancia with R1s on the front and S3s on the back! It is a blast.

Hehe! Was wondering when you'd show up pal! 👍

Definately mate, definately. My 512 has been waiting for you. :) Be a very interesting race with the revised physics as I seem to have lost a little bit at the top end.

Watch out for GTP_DukeOfPendle too. You'll always have some good races with him. 👍

This is a great event & a lot of fun, when you can avoid the punters.
Really enjoyed racing- "rexc",a very nice clean & good racer.
Tried out more cars in this one event, than any other.👍
