I have been racing my Spirit online in 600pp races beating GTR's,Vipers,Vettes,Lambos,Ferrari's you name it. The thing has GRIP and goes like smoke on the straights.

I always hear people mumbling "Damn that RX7 is quick" over their mic. It's funny lining up for a race beside all these supercars and then leaving them all after the first couple corners.

605hp-1051kg that's some serious power to weight and it shows. Extemely well balanced.

I think this car deserves more respect. I always hear people praise the S2000 as the best all around RWD, Well now there is a new king.

I'm the same position as you, except with my standard 1981 Nissan 300ZX. It pumps out 571HP but can go as fast as a fully tuned GTR.

as you said its a good performer for its pp

but only having 600 hp at a maximum will leave you wanting more

its certainly not the end all car. but its good

Funny, but I've never heard anyone say anything negative about the RX-7 Spirit. In fact, quite the opposite.

I would like to know the source of the rating you are discussing.

Something seems to be wrong with the pp calculation in this game. I have that car also and in my opinion racing other car like the lambo and gtr and you name it in the 600 pp class you will easily have the advantage.

OP. This is true. Same goes for a lot of silent heroes. Power to weight ratio is awesome on the spirit. Have you tried the RX7 LM car? Kills tracks.

I think it could be a little underrated. I don't really see many people at all use the Spirit R, but I see people use the elfini. But as GfxJG said, it might just be underused. Now, and underrated car is the Bluebird 1800SSS.....

i wouldn't say it's underrated, it's light as hell and has a fair amount of power, also in PP races anything RWD has an advantage, AWD is docked huge points for having 4 drive wheels, and the fact that AWDs are generally heavier only makes it worse, also in most races unless you're 90/10 the front tires will go fairly quick leaving you at an even greater disadvantage (terrible understeer). i would say the LFA is also underrated, i thought because of it's weight it wouldn't be a contender in PP races but it's definitely one of the frontrunners

I've got one for 500PP races. Very nice to drive and also competitive. I don't think I've ever actually come across anyone else racing one of these online.

Renaultsport Megane; 518pp with something like 409bhp and 1179kg; I've taken on a fully modded Supra with someone who actually had a reasonable level of driving skill, Lamborghini Gallardo's, Ferrari Scuderia's, and kept up with a McLaren F1 at 1 point; good times.
