Hey, I have waited for the new update to make it slightly easier to complete the S-10. But with the update installed, i have calculated that to get bronze i have to complete the race within 10.20, which means i have to complete each lap around 2.03, and the first lap allways takes a bit longer because of the start. I simply cannot get those kind of lap-times.
With the new 725 pp for each car, the closest I have gotten is 11-th place with the Amuse S2000 with the best lap-time a exactly 2.03, which again isn´t good enough to get bronze.
I have also tried the Ford GT, the Ford LM Spec 2, tuned Corvette, Mines Skyline and several other cars, i just don´t see how it can be done.
I got a lot closer before the update, i remember finishing 5´th in the S2000.

So i was wondering if anyone can help me tune, or have simular problems with the new update and the 725 performance points system?

Same problem here, tried several cars with no luck. AI players seem to win using tuned Corvette. I wanted to try the same, but didn't buy it yet.

I know, I have tried the Tuned Corvette, but I haven´t felt like it is getting close enough to the lap-times required. But it is a good car... no doubt, perhaps with a perfect tuning it can be possible to compete. But until now, I have tried a lot of different setups, but again the closest I got was in the S2000.

I finally did it, got bronze with the time 10.21 with the renault tuned, best lap time 2.00 straight, it took a lot of work, but it payd of.
Now to get me that F1-car! :-D

It took me lots of tries to beat S10 in pro mode, both before and after the update. But somehow I finally manage to finish 3rd in pro mode. I used the Nissan GTR, and I guess I got lucky in the last 2 laps, as the AI are very close to each other which makes it slightly easier for me to overtake them. Here's my settings. Hope you can give it a try.

i dunno what im doing wrong can't seem to get better then 5th, i was using a wheel for every event, switched back to a ds3 just now and still no luck although it was much easier for some reason... probably cuz of the instant brake then throttle. but anyways this is impossible i want to cry :(

I placed 5th in the race on my third try using a 725PP GT-R. I didn't really tune it at all. I lowered it but that didn't make a change on the handling graph.

I won! I won! I won! S-10 cleared with gold! Still cannot believe it :)
used Ford GT tuned one. Tried all others before - nothing worked but after a while ith gt i started getting laps around 2.00-2.02 and finally i've done it!!! S-7 is still waiting for me thouogh ;-)

crazycoder can you post your lancer evo x setup i am racing some times but the car is divine to drive but I need more speed .
thanks

Default Gears setup.

I'm using this with G25.

You should be able to do the first lap in 2:10 or faster and other laps around 2:01. It can be enough to get silver or even gold depending on the starting grid.

I made some mistakes and last laps were 2:04 and 2:05, still I got Bronze.

That is a major factor actually. I raced with the times you mention and came in 7th or so, a good 7 seconds after #1. ;) If there are 3 fast cars in front (like GTLM's), you're screwed to begin with. And I completely agree those time you mention should be enough for gold, I can still remember the day that 2:00 was a very good time running on Suzuka with 750PP and R3 tyres. Not after the update anymore though. ;)

^^ Exactly, I tuned up the Clio/Tuned for this race... I took the lead by Lap 3 and won gold by 6 Seconds overall... it was almost too easy. Im happy to share this tune BTW, I will publish it in my Tuning thread... however I was lapping 2:00 every lap and a 2:10 for the first lap. My race had no GT LM's and no Amuse S2000's.. I think the result may have been different if it did... <--- that right there is your key to gold on this event.

After tweaking the Clio a couple times, I can say that it is definetly possible. I was able to take the lead at Fuji by lap 3 and at Suzuka, I stuffed casio bad on lap 2 and still took the lead at the beginning of Lap 5.

I don't remember the lineup on Fuji but on Suzuka, there were 2 GT LM's and 2 Amuses but they started in the middle and stayed there. The leaders were 2 Blitz's and a Vette. With this line up, there were two packs. The lead pack was about 8 cars. I was able to get through the first pack on the first lap, ran most of the second by myself and had I not screwed casio up, I probably would've caught the lead pack around the hairpin on lap 3.

I did all this with with an auto on the sixaxis with standard physics, so if I can do it, anyone can :D

Very very nice!!!

I tweaked this a little bit and got a bronze on S10 in an hour. Using the same car, I got gold on S7 on my first try.

Thanks!

Thanks, I will try your tweaked setup too. I haven't make it gold on S7.

You can do it,it`s very hard and near impossible but can be done. I used the GT LM spec II,checked the tuning forums and used the most popular setup that people said tamed the rear of the beast. I tried for 2 hrs on pro settings and found it too taily and near impossible to get higher than 12th,lucky to make it too 8th but would eventually lose the rear in a corner. Tried the next day in sim mode and 1.5hrs later i finally secured a 3rd spot finish. I found the AI is very fast & aggressive & sticking to their lines stictly and will stop you passing them if they can. However once you pass them they suddenly lose the aggressivness and you can comfortably pull away from them in your hunt for the next car(this is very unfair...it`s like the AI is programmed to block you but to virtually give up if you get past them) My lap`s from memory were 2:01-2:05`s avg was a 2:03.

IMO, Ford GT LM Spec II is the best car to do S-10 in. I just shortened the gear ratios and improved the aerodynamics, whilst sacrificing power and weight. I got into 1st place 1/3 of the way through lap 4. I also won in an Amuse, but only by 1 second with a tuned Corvette hot on my tail. :scared: BTW, also a hint for S-7, use the 599GTB. 645bhp will crush those tuner cars on Fuji, you should be able to take the lead by lap 3 or at worst, 4-5.
