I have driven the fastest time in the world for the S-16 liscence test. I've attached a replay file, tell me what u think.

6:50.131

I've also attached some other world record runs that i did in S-2, and S-8, cheers, Dan.

How come your GTRP entry says 6'50.131?

And your GTRP entry for S2 is 1.5s behind Hugo Boss.

An X-Port file. Transfer from your PC to a PS2 via an X-Port and view the replay there.

Have a search, because this sort of thing is extensively covered here.

And I thought my 7m05 was good. I knew that could be faster, but 15 secs.. Wow..

Nicely done indeed. 👍 :dunce:

And how do you know it's a world record? How can you guarantee that nobody around the world has ever driven a faster time? 💡

something has to be declared as a world record. it usually takes some independent people to assure it though. but if someone beats any world record in secret, he might be better, but he won't have the world record.

I thought it was a world record, but i checked the site again after ur post and realized that Boss pulled a rabbit out of the hat and absolutely murdered my time, i was stunned. thats a replay i've gotta see.

i also bet my time on the s-16 again, the same day i posted this message,
6'50.131

Its a much better lap, obviously! cheers people, from Dan.

Here is the file

By the way, what IS the differences between PAL and NTSC GT4 ??? If any ???

As I'm playing the WRS this week, can it be that the PAL version is slower or not ??? That would explain why I'm in Div. 3 haha :dopey:

its way better then my try (pass or bust)

i really hate lincence's, my driving style i Curves and Curves, i make make hell of fast time on normal tracks, but in licence's i ussually fail :(

Still, I ask you how you can be sure it's a world record? I'd rather say it's the fastest time in that database, cause you can't prove noone has ever been faster in that license test.

Cheers,
the Interceptor

Yes, there will no doubt be people out there who do the licence tests but never post their times on the internet (like me).

I just saw Arco did a 6:49.915 in the S16. Looks like your "world record" has already been broken.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely appreciate your performance. But I can't stand people that come and say "Look at me, I'm the fastest!". The true quick drivers don't brag about their excellence, they just are.

I'm not bragging about it at all interceptor, just giving replays to people so they can learn from it, and good on arco for beating my time, but i'll no DOUBT kick his ass and beat his time, dont u worry, by the end of this week i'll have a faster time on the S-16 that no one will ever beat. how bout you quit ridiculing me bro.

Well I would go away and try but someone was saying something about the PAL version being slower or something, what is this all about?

Thats the first time i've heard of that, is that true people, because i have the pal version and i'd hate to waste my time when there's a faster version. seriously, what is the difference between PAL and NTSC, in terms of the whole game?

StringHELL
hm, i have the ntsc version here (ch)... the time difference is so obvious i think

i dunno... can anybody else confirm this?
Well, the difference between the different versions (NTSC-US, -jp, -Chn and pal) are small if there are any.
But for some License tests, there are different setups-
S 16 in PAL and US-NTSC uses the Mercedes Evo II DTM car while the Asia-Versions provide the Sauber C9 in this test.
If you look at the gold time needed you see the gap between the 7´07 in the Evo II while the Sauber requires a 5´49.
Top times for the Sauber are in the low 5´20 range if you need some comparison.;)

You are ridiculing yourself by saying thngs like that.

The Korean version of GT4 also uses the Evo II DTM (otherwise I would have struggled with that license test. It was only the intial release of the game (Japanese, Asian and Chinese versions) that had the C9 in S16.

Having compared the NTSC and PAL versions I can confirm that there are no differences in terms of speed.

Nice one! :dopey: 👍

Well, if you'd quit saying that's the world record, I'd already be satisfied.
