S-8 test

I've seen a lot of blazingly fast times for the final license test (the one with the GT-1). I was wondering if anyone has any times on it using digital controls and AT *without* interferring with the transmission using L2/R2. In other words, the only buttons you touch is the direction pad and the gas and break buttons.

This is how I raced for the longest time. Now that I'm online I see that everybody uses far superior controls, I'm making the switch but still wondering how good others could do with that.

Well, actually the d-pad and buttons are analog on a DS2. So, you can still modulate throttle, break, and steering. To get something digital, you'd have to go back to a ps1 controller.

True, but I always used the digital controls that were on the DS2. I guess I'm the only one that does that.

if you did that without touching L2/R2, then that is insane.
