I just participated in the "Like the Wind" race in extreme hall, which requires the Super license. However, I don't have that license yet, so how was I able to enter that race? Is that another bug and are there more like these, concerning prerequisits for races?

Damn that last test on the S-License is hard. Never liked the tests on the 'Ring. Too easy to mow the grass.

For me, the hardest S class license was the one with the Alfa Romeo roadster. Due to its lack of power, I had a hard time trying to navigate through the narrow streets and blind corners. Finally, I was able to get silver though.

I did that one about my 3rd try because of hitting walls on turns, but i found that test fun. That car is really quick and i found the test fun. :)

The test was fun I will admit, but I'm not sure I could call the car quick -- at least not in comparison to Alfa Romeo GT.

I guess being close to the Skyline, even though it obviously wasn't going full throttle, made it feel quick for me. I dunno. Still a fun car to drive though.

Just curious, how does a lack of power make it harder to navigate? That's sort of like saying that a closed moon roof makes it harder to stop. I'd figure the slower you're going the easier it is to see what's coming and react to it.

Sorry don't mean to sound harsh, just amused.

You didn't sound harsh, you made a valid point.

What I meant to say was, due to the lack of power, and the confusing nature of the course, it was harder to recover from stupid mistakes. If the car had more power, it wouldn't matter if I touched a wall, or hit the brakes too early -- the power would easily make up for the mistake.

The S-license took me about a week to do as i had to adjust myself to the new handling and tracks but now i have my license and i can take part in the S-license races ;).

i thought that it would take me forever too but then once I was on a role with two straight wins I did most of it in one night.

The two ice tests were far harder than the tarmac and dirt tests.

yep that ice one in the S licence was a real pain there was one spot where it would fail me for no reason.... didnt hit the wall or anything.... i thought it was very wierd... maybe there is an 'out of bounds' bit on there...?

blah blah blah, try any NTSC-J version with the Sauber C9.

I did. Same result.

*puts chopper away*

I loved that Citta di Aria licence in the Alfa. I got a clean gold by just over 2s. Citta's so annoying when you stuff it halfway round, but it was just so much easier in the Alfa.

Actually, we've strayed a little... :D

Dins - were you able to DRIVE in the race, or did the AI driver do it for you? No licences are required for ANY B-spec events.
