I've been messing around making a complete set of S-Class tunes for Spec III and it just suddenly dawned on me. The starting lineup was always the same. Not the same in different events, but the same every time for each event.

So no more cherry-picking an easy grid. Completely level playing field every time.

Edit: I have added all the starting lineups to my S-Class tunes thread.

Well, I guess this could go both for and against the player, as you'd have the ability to perfect your car's tuning to certain opponents.

Yeah I just did a race today on Suzuka. I saw a zo6, a couple of gtrs and a ford gt. They were slow (not the gt) but I think they were added so the player would have to fight through some traffic.

i noticed that on single player race (this might be old news but new to me) if you set the Ai really low the cars just change to slower ones, then as you go up the cars get faster, i always thought that the ai level was how fast they were round the track not what cars they used.

I run specIII and the S-4 line up dose change "BUT" only if you leave the event then re-enter it.:)

I raced S-10 with a few different cars and the lineup was a little different with each car at least. I think I was in my Z06/Tuned and there were two Art Morrison's in front of me, but when I was in my Amuse, it went AM/Tuned Viper/AM.

I've tested each S-class race with multiple cars and I always see the exact same lineup. I checked it again this morning. Same.

Yes the last 3 cars are always AM, Viper, AM. The Viper is passing the AM very early in the race. I always pass the first AM in turn 1 then the Viper and other AM in the S's. The Viper either passes the AM just after I pass, or just before. The Viper is always ahead of both AMs by the end of the S's.

Thank you for the S7 tune with the Ford GT LM. I've never finished higher than 3rd before but I took the lead under breaking for the first corner on lap three this time.

👍

This weekend I tried the S10 Amuse tune at S7. I took the lead going into the chicane on lap 2. Finished 13 seconds ahead of the AI GT LM. Definately fast! I'm sure any of the S10 tunes will destroy S7 (maybe with a tweak of the final gear for that 40-mile front straight).

Well I can confirm that the lineups do change slightly. I'm not sure if it's related to which car you're using. The general lineups do seem consistent, but I have seen the order switch up a bit.
