I put off getting my S-License for quite awhile, figuring it would be a long time consuming ordeal of trial and error, so much for that, I golded all of them in a few hours. With the exception of the Tokyo course with the P330 I really didn't have any trouble with any of them. Once I had gotten used to each car enough to make it an entire lap without being disqualified I was already in 1st. I got gold on Special Stage 5 in my very first try and laguna seca only took 2 tries (went into the dirt the first time). The rest took a few tries but it was far from hard.

With no penalty or disqualification from bumping the AI drivers and all the corners you can cut these are stupidly easy. I'm sure it's a much more challenging task if you drive totally clean, but I save that for online, when my opponents might actually try to do the same.

I thought the same thing! The difference from my IA License and my Super License is only 27 minutes based off my trophy times. Granted, in that 27 minutes, I golded the S-License. XD

An update made the disqualifications a little more lenient (you can bump the other cars a lot harder now), but even then it was still far too easy.

+1. After the effort it took to gold B, A, IC, IB and IA, I was not looking forward to the S licence but to my surprise I golded most on the first or second attempt (even before the easing of the collision detection)!

The S-Licence was the second easiest licence to get all Golds on, the easiest being the B-Licence, well for me it was anyway. It's definitely much easier to Gold all of the S-Licence tests since update 1.06 if I remember.

IMO these were by far the easiest tests in any GT game ever... that or somehow I became super-good driver since GT4.

Wow, those were really easy. Some of the licenses were mind-numbingly difficult (I'm talking about ones that took a few hours to gold or those I haven't gold yet), and yet, with the exception of the Suzuka event, all of them were easy and the S license is the only license with all golds for me so far.

I only have all golds on S and B. Silvers on most other tests with a few bronze in there, usually on those #$&@ing cone slaloms

I found them relatively easy to gold even before the patch, now that your allowed to bump cars im sure they are easier.
I also think they have changed something in the license tests. I found IC-10 easier than before even without having to bump into cars..

The S Class License used to be a way for me to tell at a glance whether someone was worth having as a friend, as it meant that, at the very least, they knew how to get around a corner without ramming their fellow racers. Sadly, this is no longer and I have to actually get to know people. **** my life.

I remember the slalom test with the Toyota FT86, then another one in a 512BB, which were a bit of a competition. The rest I don´t even remember.

Yes s license is fairly easy, but to be honest GT5 license tests have been easiest of the whole series(well, to me at least).

These were by far the easiest license tests ever in the GT series. The only one that hung me up was IA-10 with the Gallardo because the AI kept bumping me and causing it to fail. PD updated the AI and it became ridiculously easy. S license was a walk in the park.

I expected the tests to be as difficult as in previous versions only to find out that right out of the gate, I was getting silver medals with minimal effort.

The Indy test in the 370Z, the Nurburgring in the BMW, the Le Mans ones in the Skyline Coupe and the Lexus where really the only ones I struggled on. The BMW one and several other unmentioned ones I got bang on the gold time. I didn't ever adjust the settings (Auto, TC off, ABS 1). Except on the lexus one, you need the car to lock the wheels for getting around that hairpin.

If only the S license ones paid money, I'd do a few of them over again :)

It is far too easy, even though it syas that it is the hardest of all the licenses, the super license. As long as you don't crash into the walls you have won. Too easy!!!

I remember the slalom test with the Toyota FT86.

I watched my mate try and get Gold on that test, it took him 2 days to finally get it. Then I tried to get Gold myself and it only took me 15 minutes :D

I think the hardest one to get Gold on was IC-1 (Aston Martin DB9 1000m stopping challenge).

I golded the S Licence before the update, it was already easy. Overtaking is quite easy anyway if you know how much you're allowed to bump. To make the S Licence harder, you'd have to adopt GT4's S Licence tests, which were just a load of 1-lap time trials.

The S license was the first one I golded. My first take on licenses was to just get them done and then go back and gold. I had silver on all others with a few golds here and there, but S I had gold on all but two. I found even the B license to be harder. IC has been pretty hard, and all that’s left is IB and IA.

You're right, I golded them all in under an hour, 7 of them first try XD And I thought they were hard, so I never bothered to do them XD

After seeing this thread I finally finished golding the last 4 events of my IA License and moved on to S. Even without the lack of collision disqualification, I could've aced them just as quickly. I hit the restart button a grand total of 3 times. Once because the Gallardo spun during braking (my fault), next because I went off track in the Maserati (very my fault), and a third time because my Miura was bounced into a wall by an angry Ferrari (totally his fault). Easiest tests ever.
