S License Tips

Can anyone give me any tips on how to do the Aventador and Buggati S License?

Tips as in specific setups regarding Traction Control, ABS, etc.

Thank you :)

ABS on 1 and TC off for me. These two were the only tests I couldn't Gold on my first outing. What really helped me the most was having a PSN friend get Gold, which showed me where I could pick up time on my lap.

Edit to add: feel free to send me a friend request if you need a ghost line to follow.

S License .......

The Kart races seem to have left me with zero patience and stamina.
I Bronzed two of the races, the Toyota and the KTM, the rest of them are making me scream. The cars are everywhere except on the tracks, the ghost cars do nothing execpt block my view ahead, I find it impossible to get any closer to Bronze than 2.5 sec. All attempts to do better usually result in leaving the track at the first corner. I am out of this game, for a week at least. We'll see by then.

I did both with DS3 TCS on 1, ABS on 1 and sensitivity on 7. Took me a while with Aventador. You can try sliding through some corners which kinda helped me (for example the first one). Did the Bugatti one tho, you can shave quite some time off by taking little shortcuts, you need to learn how much is allowed at which corner. You can drive straight ahead on that little corkscrew on the white apexes for example.

Slow, you can always get antsy and go hard with those cars but that only guarantees a visit to the nearest wall.
You know how early you can brake or step on the gas on any other car? For those two tanks you have to be gentle on the gas and hit the brakes earlier than you'd expect.

From the Bugatti event I learned that you shouldn't be afraid to turn at "medium" speed, though you need to brake early.

If you remove the 1.02 patch, it gives you some breathing room to get Gold:

S-4 goes from 1:34:00 to 1:36:00
S-5 goes from 2:14:00 to 2:18:00

So if you're pulling your hair out (or aren't the talent one guy was on YouTube who ran S-5 in 2:06!!!) this is a way to get all golds.

I stuck with 1 TC and 1 ABS, if you're using the DualShock 3, increasing your steering sensitivity to 7 can help with the S-5 test. Definitely keep the other steering assistance off.

i've been trying many many times for the s-5 licence, but i just can't even get bronze... i've tried about everything, but my fastest is 0:00:906 to late...
i feel like i"m the only one struggeling with this licence
yesterday i bought the veryon to drive him in every race i already did and i just can't handle that car.... i never win in it.

i'll try the tip of increasing the steering sensitivity to 7 today. i thought this would make him even more uncontrollable, but i can only try, wish me luck!

Suddenly I Bronzed the rest of them, all three. I barely know how: lots of Driver Aids, cutting corners just so, balancing speed and brakes through the long fast corners, knowing what will come up and preparing for it a corner or two in advance, braking at the right places. I may have an idea how to Silver a couple of them. Maybe. Gold is out of the question.

Such a relief.

I think it would help you if you set your goal to get gold not bronze. Aim high.

Its not undoable. For most of them the challenge isn't the time but it's actually making it to the end. Ascari's first corner and final left hander can give you fits but they are the hardest corners on the circuit.

best tip ever for me, was trying for 2 days on S5, today i switched to steering sensitivity 7 and i hup, one try was enough, thx man!

As society around us proves, any idiot can drive a car. Go for gold mate. It's actually a lot easier to gold them than it was in GT5.

Took me a while to do the Bugatti, but surprisingly about 3 on the tc 1 abs and you need to take quite a bit of the corners for eg on the first 2 you can line up and cut straight across them without been booted, some corners you can cut more than others you need to do this for gold.

Anyone actually did the licenses in GT5?? haha
Bugatti one sucks, also the Alfa one but that might be because I hate Willow Springs.
Totally worth it though I love the S-races.

Finished S licence (Gold).

Of course the Bugatti event was missing. Times stopped at 2:16 something at first try and I paused it for a while.
Now after a few laps I cleared it with 2:13:456
I`m far far away of being a really good driver with my DS3 controller but I have to admit, it`s doable.
You have to push though and fight against a stubborn cow called Veyron. Not sure if PD did justice to the Bugatti.
