So yes, I am quite late in completing the licenses. I was in no rush, I don't really like doing A-spec because it's single player, I prefer online. Sooooo to the point.

S-License = S(kid Force Recovery)-License

The other licenses were harder to complete.... Why go soft on the last one? The first two took me a few tries. Why? Because I can't drive with that crappy aid on. Seems backwards? Well I just can't, everything defies what I know. Once I realized it was on, I pushed the car harder completing the last 8 test in under 40 minutes (Loading time....). And yes, everything gold as that is all I know.

So this is a rant I guess, it disturbed me more because I despise this specific aid. To add insult to injury, the active steering and ASM were available to turn on.... Might I mention, I completed the license :censored:faced. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to vent it out.

It was very easy, which is a shame. I think 'overtake cars' tests have no place in the licence tests, particularly with the horrible AI.

+1 to everything above.

I used to dread license tests... GT5 was more like a warm up. Maybe it was all my time in Prologue, but it felt way toooo easy compared to the Special Events.

I golded the first 4 licences ages ago & then lost interest, never knew the SRF was on for the S Licence & now that I do I doubt I'll be trying it. PD's lack of common sense & stupidity never ceases to amaze me, why on earth do they patronise all players by forcing everyone to use SRF? Surely by always leaving it optional they'd cover all bases, go figure!

:grumpy:👎

Can anyone give me a few tips on how to gold tokyo? I have golded them all except tokyo iirc, but tokyo seems the hardest for me.

My main turn off to the licenses was turning traction control off 60 times... I don't know if I am remembering right but I don't think all the previous test had skid force on. I was very disappointed to find it locked on... ten times in a row. I completed the first four licenses when I got the game, completed Ia a couple weeks back, and took a stab at this one last night. I'm glad I finished all of them, but the last one was a turn off to licenses. Good thing they didn't put S-License first.

Just keep getting used to the car, slipstream the Jag at the start, brake lat into t1, and you'll have the Chaparral infront of you (about 1 or 2 seconds ahead) brake late into turn 2, bounce off the Chaparral, push through, you should catch the next Jag by the time you reach the turn after the massive right hander, then you're sweet, and will win.

Aside from the 'bouncing', that's pretty much what I did. You gotta draft the first few cars to have any chance of getting to the front in time.

I did most of the license tests when I first got the game but left this one for later thinking it would be difficult. 3 months of online racing later I came back to complete it. Took less than 1 hour to gold all of them except 1. I came back the next night and knocked out the one I was having trouble with after 10 minutes. The tests were disappointing mainly because I knew the tracks very well and knew where to make passes. Had I been struggling to learn the course at the same time it would've been a little more challenging.

Hmm... This car was fun to drive. It's quick enough, just don't hit the walls. I was able to get in first on the right hander after the s-curve. Maybe use the driving line if you are not familiar with the track?

The only licensetests that caused me trouble to gold where the brakingtests. But then with using the handbrake it became easy.

S-Licenses are to easy to gold, I believe I did gold them all the first time.

was anyone able to complete the trial mountain race with the maserati gran turismo without bouncing off the other cars? i found most of the S license tests weren't too bad, even while trying to drive clean and avoid contact. i know i'm not the best driver in the world, but i just don't see how it's possible to gold that test driving clean. even after i gave that up and just started bouncing off the other cars to keep my car on the track while keeping my speed up (i really wanted that gtr :) ), it still took me forever to gold.

Prior to patch 1.06, IIRC, S License Tests, any collisions however slight resulted in immediate disqualification, you can now virtually punt the other cars out of the way. :grumpy: The patch made it much easier to obtain a license which isn't required except to 100% / Platinum the game 👎

The Vettel challenge Bronze time was increased also in the same patch.

Passed car 14 & 15 on the second & third turn on the inside. Get by car 13 into the tunnel on the outside. Pass car 12 (11 if you can) on the right hander on the outside. Pass car 10 & 11 through the consecutive curves on the outside. Ones you go through the next tunnel, you should be directly behind the RUF. You outbreak cars up to the 2nd position at the end of the straight. Get by 1st place car by stealing the inside on the left hander before heading towards the finish.

If that makes any sense. Abuse the skid force, it makes it very possible to get by without contact.

yeah, there is no reason to rant about them now.
I agree that other licences are harder than all S licences but before the patch without aids it wasnt sooo easy...

So what you are saying is before the patch, skid force was off? I assumed bouncing the cars was new from the patch as past test didn't allow it.

neither said that nor do i know for sure.
I do however turn off aids where possible and im running my wheel with simulation settings.
After i re-ran some of the S-licences with a friend recently they felt nowhere near the old versions.
Maybe im biased because i (might have) improved my driving skills, but after i repeated some of the tests recently they felt way to easy (as i remembered that it took me about 10 or more tries to drive Sarthe without errors. same with tokyo i think and the Ferrari).

I believe that Skid Recovery Force is on for all of the other licenses too.

But I agree that the S license is too easy, it should have been a time trial or something. It was made even easier by 1.06, meaning that you could crash into other cars without getting disqualified.

Wow, I did the license tests so long ago, I forgot how easy they were. Prologue's license tests were actually harder.

This is true. They force that crap on you. I and many others golded most of the S licenses in one try with a DS3. At least they disqualify you for going off the road or ramming people.

Actually, for many of the overtake challenges I used the other cars for walls if they wouldn't get out of my way. I had to be gentle enough not to get disqualified though. Haha.

Maybe I just suck but I couldn't manage gold back when I did them. I remember constantly being disqualified when other cars bumped me! Guess maybe I should try again now that the bumping isn't so finicky.
