Tonight Tuesday October 14th is 4 days until Corvette Festival Week 4 this Saturday. I recently made some updates for the upcoming races and reposted them. Make sure you take a look if haven't already.
You saw my screen shots that showed that today (this day) you made the post about race day being 10 days away and the other screenshot said "tomorrow"at the topI don't know why it's telling you that time. I posted that post last Wednesday. And as far as I know 18 minus 8 is still equals 10.
Yes but, I don't have the answers you seek. You'll have to ask the staff of this site. You saw my screen shots that showed that today (this day) you made the post about race day being 10 days away and the other screenshot said "tomorrow"at the top
It's not a big deal, I just found it most unusual and wanted to explain why I posted comment about amount of days before race. My comment was based on false information.Yes but, I don't have the answers you seek. You'll have to ask the staff of this site.
Do not wait for me tonight, I will most likely miss the first race but I may make the 2nd race, depends on how long it takes me to finish up at home.Lobby Schedule

Same for me.. I’m cool with people using TCS as GT3/4 use it in RL.. in GT I’m just faster with it off.. it good to save tires though!my guess is because gt3 and gt4 cars do have tc in real life. I left mine off though.
really enjoyed this set of races, of course race cars make for good racing but also great choices of track and race settings to allow for good strategy. Great job Cold Warrior I really enjoy the races you come up with.
ABS has been allowed for all events because I'm a lot of players don't experience without it. Traction Control has been event dependent. TCS has been allowed for the road cars C5 and newer. Why is TCS allowed at 2 of the, races, I thought this was no aids racing??,

Thank you for showing up and for posting here. I'm use to this forum being dead accept for Fastone371 and the occasional false hope of new players.Same for me.. I’m cool with people using TCS as GT3/4 use it in RL.. in GT I’m just faster with it off.. it good to save tires though!
ABS hardly counts as an aide in GT7 because non ABS braking is not implemented very well in GT7. I would love to be able to use non ABS braking in GT7 reliably.ABS has been allowed for all events because I'm a lot of players don't experience without it. Traction Control has been event dependent. However since Corvette C7 Gr.3 Road Car is Gran Turismo's own what if homologation for Corvette C7. I felt no obligation to be historical accurate. I wanted to run at least one race at US based tarmac track real or fictional. I was initially going to have C1 run at Northern Isle do to it competing in Nascar the 1950s. However I don't like how it raced at Northern Isle in it's stock performance. I found later that the C7 Gr.3 Road Car raced well at Northern Isle. And chose to make a Nascar themed race with it. Nascar does not allow Traction Control.
As of for your other question. All the races designed to fit into a 30 minute time block. The Corvette C7 Gr.3 Road Car came out to like 103 laps. Figured it's only added 32 seconds and around up 105 laps. And yes the means the car can complete the 200 lap limit cap in under an hour.
I don't usually drive without ABS myself. So don't really know how things it works without it.ABS hardly counts as an aide in GT7 because non ABS braking is not implemented very well in GT7. I would love to be able to use non ABS braking in GT7 reliably.
Changing the clocks is not that difficult, if it is in fact that difficult you have bigger problems than the 1 hour time change. 🤔Hey guys 9 days out until Corvette Festival Week 5 Corvette International. Week 5 is a celebration of the Corvette's growing International presence in the modern world by competing in the FIA WEC and other world touring sports car series outside the US. Also about 3 hours after the last race of week 5. Clocks in US in change from Daylight Savings back 1 hour to Standard Time. If your country or state doesn't change clocks with the US. Week 6 and 7 races will be 1 hour earlier for you. Enjoy the confusion.
Dealing with an international crowd it becomes more difficult. Not every country practices Daylight Savings. And the ones that do might not change on the same weekends as the US. Most of Brazil is in the Southern hemisphere. And for record 1.75 US states don't practice Daylight Savings. Go look into Arizona's idea of Daylight Savings. Also not everyone has a flexible schedule. I have no idea what everyone's life is like before and after hosting hours. Some people may come right from work.Changing the clocks is not that difficult, if it is in fact that difficult you have bigger problems than the 1 hour time change. 🤔
That's what UTC is for, everyone can then figure out what time the races are in their time zone. It might be kinda nice if GT7 had its own in game time that was the same for everyone regardless of location, one could then use that for scheduling races. I didn't know that F1 was going to Apple TV next year. I dislike the Vegas race (Miami too) as I think that street races make crappy race tracks with Baku being the exception.Dealing with an international crowd it becomes more difficult. And yes it shouldn't be a big deal. And there's always 1 or 2 miss who the week after the clocks change. Every year every clock change some people get stumped. I wanted to keep November 8th open so people can have time to adjust but, when I added an extra week to include the 2 new Corvette concept cars. I choose to use the 8th because of the Las Vegas Grand Prix being on November 22nd. And I very much like that track. Sadly I won't get to watch after this year. Because we're not paying for Apple TV.
The tires were on x1 so not possible to make them last any longer with the race settings, pretty amazing. The race at Northern Isle was a pleasant surprise, I thought it would be a bore but it was fun. I think the tire life should have been longer and that we should have had tire options available so people could have tried different strategies. I knew going in that I was 4 stopping but I also thought for some reason that the race was 100 laps, I guess I shoulda went 21 laps on each set of tires. Even at 105 laps I was OK on tires but I ran out of fuel which is rare, I normally finish races with over a 1/4 tank.
Yes US cover for F1 is going to Apple TV for at least next 5 years. Starting with the 2026 season. And why the hate for Las Vegas. It races well for them. And they can actually make passes. Unlike some of permanent venues they go too. It's a lot better than longtime traditional street track they go to along the Mediterranean. That's what UTC is for, everyone can then figure out what time the races are in their time zone. Thank you I knew that race would be fun during testing. May I should do a favorite race of the week pole. The tires were on x1 so not possible to make them last any longer with the race settings, pretty amazing.
Coming up with strategy was still pretty interesting, in my testing I was able to do 30 lap stints but in the lobby with how fast other drivers were that was not going to work. My goal was to do my final pit on lap 90 in order to have tires for the end, but to make that work I was doing full stints at 22-23 laps to make it add up, which was difficult. I'm not sure how others did on damage but I managed to avoid any until the second to last stint. I did not realize you ran out of fuel at the end I noticed you suddenly slowed on the last lap or two but figured it was tires. It looked like you were making the outside line on the corners work which I understand should reduce tire wear some, but I could not make it work while being fast.
It's pretty mind boggling that PD only allows you to go about 20 laps max on tires when going fast then make the pit stop delta so long yet saving tires still makes you slower. The tires were on x1 so not possible to make them last any longer with the race settings, pretty amazing.
