Winner week 1 - Bmxmitch

Theme Chosen and Judged by bmxmitch: Compact Cars

Further explanation of the theme, in the words of bmxmitch:

"GT5 isn't just Race-Cars. Show me your small family cars, like a Golf, Mini, 207, etc..."

CARS: Any Compact car (Premium or Standard)
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: No

# No other editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed outside GT5 Photomode.
# Only one entry per user allowed. It must be that user own work and never used in another competition;
# Do not ask other members to choose your entry.
# Entry post must be marked with a FINAL ENTRY text in your PM to the Judge;
# Entries can not be changed, your first will be your last;
# Entries must be posted in either thumbnail or a preview. We recommend you to link either to it's full size;
# Posts containing bigger previews than allowed, full sizes or links only will be ignored;
# Previews should not exceed the limit of 500px in either direction and have any effect not present in the original image
# It's recommended the usage of a free image hosting service, such as ImageShack, Photobucket or Flickr;
# Entries MUST NOT have been posted on the forum before

Please PM all entries to bmxmitch, he will then send me the top 10 for the poll which will all be hosted by me so that links cannot be traced to the owner of the photo

Focus is fine. As long as you don't take a Race/Rally version.

Just keep it like a real street car. Carbon hoods for example would ruin it.:sick:

Okay. Thanks for answering. I will hopefully get some pictures on here by Friday but I am changing everything on photobucket at the moment so may not get time to get them on.

EDIT: can I put a front wing on it if possible. I know the rear wing (if there is one) would ruin it but I am hoping a front wing will be fine for that extra racy feel.
 
We don't have small family cars in the US. A more appropriate vehicle would be a Honda Odyssey or the Land Rover Range Stormer concept. Golfs are for single college kids over here.

That said, great theme idea :)
 
Ok guys

Maybe "family car" wasnt the best idea to mention in the description. I meant small cars, hatchbacks, compact cars (or whatever it is called in english) where you have maybe 4 doors, but no room for a whole family. Maybe for a little child, but no dogs etc....

Just use compact cars, that don't fit to a race track very well. You can put spoilers on them and everything you want. They dont need to be stock!
But I take the pictures in the poll that gives me a feeling of a weekend road-trip or something like that.:sly:

Hope I cleared it a bit more. I can put a list of all cars I see as compact cars, but.......naahh, dont have the time for that!:scared:

hmm, didnt think of those. They are compact cars, for sure!:scared:

But yeah, they are fine too. I don't want to limit the competition more and more.


Just take small, cheap cars. The ones that are not made for races and doesn't look like it either.💡

You could ask the OP of the Hatchlings photo thread if he wouldn't mind telling more people about this comp mate obviously he likes hatchbacks enough to make a dedicated thread :)
 
2 days left and no one has posted their pic. I should be able to get some pics on GT5 late today and post them up here some time tomorrow 👍

For the first few weeks, it might have been a better bet to choose a more popular theme - like Lambo's, RM cars, or the like. You'd get a lot more entries. Maybe not good entries, but more of them.

Hopefully I'll have time to get a shoot in before the close. Otherwise I'll have to default to an old pic.
 
It's a really hard theme. It took me 30 minutes to find a car. An hour of finding a location and shooting, then 30 seconds to scrap it. Lol
 
I've got a picture (its not good but its a picture!) I just need to upload it.

Choose an F40 and everyone and their dog will enter (myself included).
 
haha, you're right guys!
but with the fact that all those themes where taken before in other comps, I wanted something new, something else. But it would've been easier if I have taken a Lambo or Race car theme, thats true. Oh well......

But otherwise, everyone that enters here has much higher chances to get in the poll!!!!! So far :D
