Oh yeah... the Caterham is another good car to use that doesn't require a pit. I tried it stock, and with SS-Tires and the close-ratio 6-speed transmission. The GSX-R4 is eligible also, and shouldn't require a pit. Stopping for fuel and tires is for suckers!
Won both of these easily with the fully tuned ZZII, using a slight power reduction to fit in the PP limit. It's tough to win with it in the S-Series races that allow race cars in, though I have come close.
Given the tracks for these races, any light car near the higher end of the PP scale and good tires should win. Since you have the S License, I assume you are well aware of how awful the Bugatti Veyron is at Ascari
The KTM X-Bow R is a good option, don't use the tyres much and it's stupidly fast around the corners. Haven't done Ascari yet, but I destroyed the AI at Willow Springs with it.
