S2000 type V- WTF?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference between the S2000 and the S2k type V is that the V has a varible speed steering thing, right? It changes how much you can steer depending on the speed you are travling, right? Well the game already does that, havent you noticed? you can steer the whole 900 degrees or whatever at a stand still, but at say 100mph you only turn the wheel a fraction of that(PD did this so people wouldnt turn all the way and just induce a state of severe understeer) Sure it makes the game easier, but what of the S2000V? Why does it exsist in the game?
 
Why are there 7 different EVO's and 5 different Skylines?

Because they could. I hope that in the future, PD realize just because they can doesn't mean they should

Well yeah but, the point is: why did they include a car that's only unique feature is something that is already programed in the game, something that is on every car in the game!
 
Easy – Develop the code for one car, divide it into two cars, and that's one more car to fill the quota! Similar reasoning behind the Evo's and Skylines, I imagine... develop some base code, give it a couple tweaks here and there for the variations, and there you've got a quarter of your quota met.
 
The S2000 and the S2000 Type V are different. I raced them both a Complex string about 2 monthes ago and the Type V is about 1 to 2 second faster than the normal S2000.
 
Well there is a real Honda S2000 Type V, but yeah they are about the same. The Type V is alittle faster but anyways, use the Mugen S2000 :) Faster than both of it. The Spoon is the fastest S2000 beside the LM race car.

Yep and here are the results at Laguna Seca:
S2000 Type V=1'35.709 sec
S2000 =1'36.107sec
Yep the Type V has more stable handling than the regular S2000.
 
The Type-V with the variable steering equipment actually weighs a little more than the regular S2000, so the power-to-weight ratio is slightly higher.

S2000 246HP, 1240Kg PWR 5.109
S2000 Type-V 246HP 1260Kg PWR 5.185

The S2000 is such a great little car and it sound so good in real life. It revs really high.

the only cosmetic difference is that the type v has cleared out turn signals on the headlights
 
Is it me or does the S2000 Type-V have similiar characteristics with the new 2004 Honda S2000? The headlamps on the Type V are alot more "white" then the regular Honda S2000 in Gran Turismo 3. Maybe the Type-V is supposed to be the next model of the S2000 that we know as the 2004 model? :dopey:

Indeed, the new '04 model is slightly more powerful then the year before, it just like the TypeV and the regular S2000. :sly:

Its kinda sad that Honda dropped the RPM's on the '04 model though.
 
I have a question relating to this topic.. will we actually be able to feel the difference between these to cars handling wise in gt4? Or have i just not noticed the difference between them in gt3 besides the type v getting faster times
