S2000 vs S2000 Type-V

What's the differences between the two S2000s? All I notice is that the Type-V has different color choices and is more expensive. Actually it has a lower power/weight ratio as well. How do they account for the higher cost? I see no benefit for this.
 
Well it actually boils down to how you tune it, there are things you can do to lessen the tail happiness. It really gets down to how you drive it though. Some people like driving a car that is on the edge of traction. Others do not.
 
Run 'em all, You might find something in the Type-V that we have missed. I just tend to start with one of the others because they are cheaper, or won (no cost) cars.
I did a relatively quick testing. I spent a couple of hours with four of the six available S2000's. All I can say without reservation it that the Spoon racing S2000 (the yellow and blue one) may be one of the GT300 JGTC cars, but it isn't up to snuff compared to the MR-S or the C-West Silvia. IN fact it is completely outgunned.
 
Hey Gil, when are we going to have some more spot races??? I was thinking maybe a European BMW versus Mercedes with a 400 hp shotout?
 
In PAL we can't sell the regular Honda S2000...so it's pretty special.
 
The version of the spoon s2000 race car in GT3 does not run in the JGTC it was built to a different set of rules for another endurance race series ;)

The Spoon S2000 Racecar isn't a GT300 car, it's an N1 Endurance car (aka the Super Taikyu), a series composed of 5 different classes, where it races against Altezzas and Integra Type-Rs.


What's different about the Type-V? It has a variable ratio steering gear (called VGS, hence the Type-V). The VGS, based on the rack and pinion type steering, improve both stability and sporty handling by electrically controlling the gear ratio responding to speed and driving conditions.

It's a gizmo, in other words, much like the ATTS system in the Prelude SH. And just like the Prelude, the base S2000 is faster in real life.
 
Well I don't know if they incorperated it into the game, I know it says it does but it doesn't really seem like it, but it has Variable Steering meaning it responds less at high speeds to reduce chances of control loss, that also means less affective high speed turning. I'd go for the normal S2000, because I've never really had the problem of losing control on a high speed straight.

Not the lead dog, just one of the pack. So, the view never changes. :lol:
I'll come up with something interesting in good time. I have a little something brewing in my head now concerning the 2.0 liter Skyline, and one of the Silvias. I need to flesh it out a bit.

I also have to find time to run "Big Blue" at Tokyo R246.:D But I'll have something up in the next few days that will be great fun for the group.

As for you Ving, Spoon and Mugen S2000. The Spoon car makes the most HP fully modded. However, it is also the heeaviest of the group. (after weight redux,)
 
I am not 100% sure about this but I beleive that the type-v is a Japan Spec S2000. I could tell but the color of the corner lamps and by some knowledge i had already attained. If
I'm not mistaken i beleive that the type-v also came with a cvt (continuously variable transmission[automatic]). It had stock horse power(255hp) but the gearing was set up perfect and changed upon different circumstance(i.e. uphill driving,racing,cruising,etc.) If I am wrong please correct me. Thank you.
