I'm making a website at the moment, it has a GTA section. I'm making a Complete 0-100% Game guide for every GTA game that has hit the PS2. Jimmy and I can handle GTA III and Vice City, but SA is just too big for one or two people to handle in a reasonable amount of time.

I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in contributing. I'm not asking you to do anything at the moment, I'm just asking to see if anyone would be interested in helping in the near-ish future.

If so please say so in this thread and I'll contact you all privatly in a month or two when we're ready to start the SA guide. Of course you will all be credited for all the work you put into the guide 👍. Thanks to all those who plan to contribute.

I have the official game guide so I can just scan up all the maps of jumps and all that sort of stuff or anything you need really. Just give us a yell if you need help.

Thanks alot, the idea is for it to be all original content, but there are plenty of blank maps I could get permission to use. Anyway thanks 👍. Anyone else?

Well I've already started doing missions. My idea for this was to split it up into sections. One person do Mission Guide, one person focus on all of the Oysters, Horseshoes, Tags and Photo Ops, one person focus on some Odd Jobs, KM on Racing ....

That was my idea. I should have the main story missions under control. After that, I'll start on GTA 3. Any help would be great. I thought KM would be the best to go to for the Racing Side-Missions. That's just one recommendation/request.

I started a VC one ages ago so I can update it with tis/tricks I may not have known then etc. I should be able to finish that within a month. III shouldn't take long, but SA is a big project and it's easiest if we get everyone to help with different sections.

Hell I'd do it all if I could, but the next game would be out by the time I finished if I did it by myself -- well maybe not, but with the detail I want in this guide, it'll take alot of time.

Well, I could post the whole guide project here for San Andreas, sticky it, and the only posts I'll allow are updates to other people's sections. If anyone posts anything other than their section, I'll just delete their posts and warn them if they continue. Then, once the whole thing is done, I'll close that Thread, Un-Sticky it, and make the whole thing, and post it on both Forums.

How's that sound?

Uhh sorry, this isn't for my forums, this is part of the website itself. I'd ask you not to do that please.

Don't worry, I'll organise it, I just want people to tell me if they're participating, can we drop the organisation for now, I've got things figured out.

Okay. Keep us posted on what you're doing, though, as I'm interested to know what exactly you have in mind, and so would other people who may potentially want to do this.

i can scan stuff as well, i have the official Vice and SA guide :)

Because I was repeating something I said. You said you could scan stuff and I was pointing out that that isn't original content.

i c, well as i have no school anymore, if you give me a reasonable task im sure id be able to do it for you, I like to think of my self as a qualified Vice City and SA player.

Well that would be great. We can use maps, but no scans. Find some unlicensed stuff on the internet, or maybe make an Odd Jobs, etc map yourself.

Yeah, there are plenty that people have made maps that I can simply get permission to use.

If I get permission to use it it's not illegal. But if people just copy info out of a strategy guide that's illegal.

I'm not sure exactly what I could contribute now, but I have tons of free time and a scanner (and the huge map that came with SA) so if anyone has some graphical-type work I'd be glad to help.

Vice City Strategy Guide. I've been working on transferring it from a word document to my website. It's a very long process but I think you'll be able to see my point from the way the contents is layed out.

This is essentially what the layout of the SA guide is going to be. If you look at the content you'll see that everything is divided into sections and sub-sections. I think the easiest way to do the SA one is to split it up into sections and people can do what they know how to do.

Anyway I'm not starting it for a while yet but I'm just letting you know what I'm thinking.

Also does Spuds, KM or anyone else want to add there names to the list of volunteers?

I got your PM Blake and you are right, I never opened this thread--I assumed it would contain spoilers and while I look at several of the threads nows, I'm still trying to figure out most things on my own-- and getting nowhere fast....

At this time I'm still concentrating on getting 100% on my own but I would be open to contributing to some of the smaller sub-sections of it. My time available varies so I don't want to bite off too big of a job. I wouldn't be opposed to doing a mission walkthrough guide for one of the islands missions (giving mission strategies and stuff), Unique jump guide (I'm up to about 25 jumps now), or something along those lines, R3 missions for instance.

Famine made a VC guide/website if I remember correctly and I don't know if you have contacted him-- he might be interested in this.

Anyway, I don't know how effective I'll be at this until I "finish" getting 100% and feel I have mastered this game-- go ahead and add me and contact me with an assignment you might want me to do-- if I feel I can do a good job I'll take it, otherwise I might ask you for something else to do.

I can do little things like the where cars can be modded and just general stuff like that but I wouldnt rely on me to do big mission write-ups because I will more than likely screw it up, unless I reword the guide stuff.

Yeah, well don't worry you'll probably have 100% by the time I plan on getting this thing started, as I said it probably won't be for at least a month, this site has alot of other sections and other things need to be organised first.

Yeah I remember he did that, I was hopeing on him looking at this but I suppose like you, a PM may be the way to get his attention.

[off-topic-ish]You've probably all notcied I make a fair few typos etc. For the Vice City Guide I went through a 6,000+ word guide that I did 2 years ago (it was about 35% complete) and I decided to spell check it. I swear I was there for 40 minutes clicking Change, Ignore etc. It was very annoying and I ended up with a huge headache. I gess that's why I transferred barely any of it to my site.

I think he said he's building a San Andreas mission guide as he goes along. I'd be interested, but later on. I'm just concentrating on finishing the game 100% for now. After that I'd gladly help with a guide.

KM.

Well I'm doing all of the Los Santos Missions, I suppose if anybody else feels they could do a great job on the San Fierro, Las Venturas or Return to Los Santos missions, feel free.

I'm only going fairly slow anyway, and I want to finish the Main Story Missions before I get too far on this. So I might get a start in the next few days. I only have a few missions left, but I'm guessing they will be fairly difficult.

Nice job on the Vice City Guide, too. 👍

I do have the Official strategy guide so I could easily help out with the content thats not included in the storyline.
And to make it original it sould all be put into own words.
As this is quite a large game, and my availability being limited i'd probably need some help, but if you PM me with anything you'd like me to contribute, ill see what i can do.
