Some of you might have known that my dad has been sick with cancer. Last summer they gave him 6 months to live. He made it 9 months but wow this has been emotionally very difficult.
I received the phone call wednesday around 3:15 that he only had about 1-2 days left. So we left for Kentucky thursday morning around 6:00 AM. About 20 minutes before we arrived he went into a coma. When we arrived he was on life support for his lungs and pretty much non responsive. After we arrived we did manage to get his BP up and his breaths per minute from 23 to 30. He also tried to move his mouth for the first time in about 6 hours. So they said it was a sign that he knew we were there.
So after all the brothers and sisters arrived we decided it was time to remove the life support. At that point I left the room because I did not want to see him suffer.
So I just wanted to give everyone a heads up and I really feel for anyone out there that has lost a parent. Its very tough indeed. RIP dad. I will always love you.
