Sad story...

Well me and my family were at our family business. I had brought my PS2 to have something to do, and for my brother to play when I was done with my PS2. So after I got bored of playing my PS2 I started playing with the dog. I was running and the dog decided to take a short cut. He ran right into the cord for the controler and knocked the PS2 off the shelf, and it landed right on the ground. The disc tray will not come all the way out, it will not read the disc that is stuck in the tray. This really sucks!
 
Yeah...Man this really sucks...I think my dad is trying to lie and say that it just wouldn't open, trying to keep it under warenty (<~~probably spelled wrong lol), I wonde if it'll work, but thats only if he can find the receipt. Can I call a place like funcoland or something that can repair my PS2 or will I have to shell out money from my own pocket this time to buy myself another one?
 
Ouch...that must hurt. Did you have any games in it at the time?
 
open the sucker up and see what you can do. Its already busted, so it wont hurt to try. just dont electrocute yourself!! hehe.
 
My brother had borrowed a game from one of his friends and was playing it, the game looked like some knock off of lorf of the rings...according to my step mother atleast. But none of MY games were stuck in it. :) Sucks to be my brothers friend to because his game wont be coming back for a while. My dad wants to see if he can get it fixed or not...until then he wont let me open it up...

yea man just pop the sucker open. thats what i'd do. But i'd be sure to scratch up you brothers firends game by accident while removing it.

dont open it whatever you do i made that mistake once only once and i fu**** the whole system my frends were staying at my place when one of my frends ( the porko) stood up to go to tha toilet he knocked my other friends ps2 off the table and it seems he had the same problem it wouldnt open and wouldnt read what was in there anyway i know a fair bit about computers so my friend begged me to open her up so i did and i couldnt see any problem so we closed it up again and it wouldnt even turn on and now my friend still hassels me about it
 
dude its so easy to fix i have had my ps2 since it came out and mine recently did the same thing and i didnt care if i broke it more or not because its way outta warranty anyhow but all you do it open it up making sure its not plugged in or anything . unscrew 4 screws on the disc drive and the game can be just lifted straight up. after that push the drawer back in its going to sound like its breaking but it will be fine trust me ive done it to 3 different ps2s and they all work fine now but you have to push it all the way in until it wont go anymore so it hits a switch that activates the eye to read the disc if you need any more explanation just ask
