My question is, does anyone know were I can get settings for this car. I've never been getting with suspension/break/LSD/ect. I can drive like a mad man :P but other then that... nadda. Anyways, any help would greatly be appreciated!

As the leaderboard gets developed, you'll find more of these settings available there. At the moment, this thread will have to do.

I hate to open this can of worms, as settings are very dependent upon driving style. What works for me, won't work for others.

With less than half of the top GT tuners not having the game, you may be in for a wait. After March 9th you'll see more settings available.

Sorry for the offtopic, but I could not resist.. :)

If you werent from Boston, I'd bet that you hint that the Top GT tuners mostly live at PAL area :D :D

I'd love to be of assistance but, as DA implies, we poor PAL'ers are bereft of the necesary tools to provide settings help just yet ... plus, there'll be a certain amount of lead time whilst we figure out what-does-what-and-how in the new game engine :).

I suggest a browse around the GT3 Settings and Tunings forum and reading through a whole passle (love that word :D) of information that's accrued there over the months.

It's the inferior version that the people in European countries receive. :dopey: It's just a region code.

USA - NTSC
Europe - PAL
Japan - NTSC

It's to do with the format of ourTV's, we have higher res TV's that run at 50hz instead of 60, this is PAL.

Ahh, ok. Yea, it sux to live in Europe right now. Day before GT4 come out I went and paid for it... next day (release date) I rushed to gamestop and rushed home! I couldnt believe what I was seeing... It's well worth the wait.

This has to be the funniest thing I've seen yet. The game has been on the shelves in the States for 3 days, PAL hasn't even seen it yet, not sure how long Japan has had it, and someone is looking for settings. I'm not slamming you or nothing, I'm really a rather sensative guy, not stepping on toes and never a negative post (the few I've made), but come on man.

Why am I asking? Cause alot of folks can jump right in and know just what they're doing. I mean, yea you gotta get used to the new physics engine, but I'm sure theres someone out there thats already tearing the courses up with a sweet ass tune.

Sorry man. Just kinda caught me off guard I guess.
I was pretty good with GT3 tuning, but there were a few I just couldn't get right. I got a few from Der Alta's compendium at his site. He had a setup for the Zonda Race Car that was dead on. I hated the beast until he posted his url. Then the Zonda became my favorite car. I picked up GT4 Wednesday and I agree 100%, the physics is throwing me a learning curve as well. The screaching tire sound seems more prominent now. I guess it is more realistic as well

so... more than half have it? XD work on the wording. But anyways, yeah... more will be available later.

In the meantime (this doesnt not relate to quote) you can just fiddle with things and see if you find something that suits yourself.

Racing suspension. If it oversteers, decrease the rear springs by 1.0kg/mm per outing until it handles right. If it understeers, increase the rear springs by 1.0kg/mm per outing. This should get you pretty close. Generally, I double the spring rates for smooth road courses with very few berms, and I halve the spring rates from default for bumpy, curb-laden road courses. I don't have a ton of GT4 tuning experience, but I have a full grasp of all the parameters GT4 allows you to change, and I tune my own racing gokart.
