Same name different color?

First of all I apologize for being a total idiot and having no idea how to take a screen capture, but I have in my account two paint chips called "bahama yellow" and they are not exactly the same. They are both yellows but clearly different hues. Has anyone else come across something like this?

Yup! I notice this quite often, mostly with the generic names like "Red" and "White."

I buy a lot of Type R's from Honda and Championship White is the only colour I buy them in. I have two Championship White but they are a different hue as well and it is clearly that one is brighter than the other one.
