Apple may sue samsung as they will say it is too thin like our iphones or some other lie.

I don't like to follow trends for phones. It used to be about just calling people, texting, and once in awhile go on the internet. But now advertisers( not particulary you) try to tell people you gotta get the latest and greatest. Its all the same, even if this phone in particular is the fastest to come out soon. There will be a faster in the future. Just my opinion

Mark your calender folks! Here comes "THE NEXT GALAXY".

I love my Galaxy S II, but at 66.1mm its too wide, it needs to be closer to 60ish maybe 62... idk, 4mm makes a lot of difference, and this is 6mm on top of 66 at 72, 2mm in the wrong direction from the GSIII... I'm quite dissappointed.

It has enough ram and a proper processor unlike the GS3, but it'll be a pig, I wonder about the original note... 8 more mm to a Note.

4.99" is way too big if you ask me. Is it possible to get a decent android phone that isn't a wannabe tablet nowadays.

Im more then happy with my Note II, so I won't be getting the S4.

I will however try the S4, well, because I have too. :)

This is why I always stick to my contract phone until it expires and get the newest one available. I'm not like some people who get a new phone every year just because the screen looks better.

I think this as well. My opinion 4.6 is the best size screen. It's not that much different but makes it just that tiny bit easier to do things with. However it also depends how close these screens come to the edge. The Sony Z or whatever it's called is supposed to be the closest phone so far to almost be edge to edge screen. Something like 20% more than most other phones.

Also wondering if these specs will be for the world or just a certain region. Kinda pissed s3 didn't get quad core in North America but the dual core with the 2gb or ram was actuakly almost the same. There is some new power saving app from snapdragon that i now get to try but wouldn't if I had the quadcore. I still think one phone for everywhere tho.

4.99" or 5 inch 1080p screens will be the new standard smartphone screens. ;)

Annoyingly. Far too big to fit in some people's pocket, not big enough to really be a tablet. I'm all for giving people the option, but if someone wants a top-spec smartphone that isn't huge their only options are an iPhone 5 or Blackberry Z10.

This large screen thing is just a fad. It is nice having a a larger screen but some of these things are nuts. Have you seen the new note 8 tablet phone thing? It's a tablet the size of an ipad mini that looks identical to an s3 and can also make calls.

Well yes not everyone would like a 5 inch + phones, since they're too big to carry around or put inside their pockets. If you have big hands you would like an 5 inch phones.

Heck, I've also have a Samsung Galaxy S3, to me it's large but I have no fuss over the screen what so ever. I also have a friend who loves large as phones and it's nice to have a large screen for a smartphone since I need it to view photos, read text messages clearly and go onto Facebook. But yeah it's our personal choice really.

Yes, I've seen the new Samsung Galaxy note 8.0 tablet. It sure does look like an enlarged version of Galaxy S3/Note 2. What I know is that it will be competing against Apple's very own Ipad Mini, in terms of size and price.

Samsung to sell the Galaxy S IV in 6 variants

Samsung is ready to dump the GT-I9505 (Galaxy S IV LTE) into a mockup version of the Galaxy S IV specially for retailers. Samsung wants to use one device with LTE and 3G on it which could hint to the use of the Snapdragon 600 processor in the Galaxy S IV, another possibility is the use of Exynos processor with a separate LTE chip. Sadly, our insider told us that Samsung is mostly sure to use Snapdragon instead of Exynos.

The new Galaxy S IV comes in 2 colors in the first place, White and black. Samsung wants to sell the Galaxy S IV in 6 variants.

GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 16 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 32 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 64 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 16 GB (Black)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 32 GB (Black)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 64 GB (Black)

Somebody with a Galaxy S IV has just performed an Antutu benchmark and revealed all the specifications of the device! It looks like the Galaxy S IV features an Exynos Octa 5410 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU, 2GB of RAM, 4.99″ Full HD (1920×1080) display and a 13 Megapixel Camera. The device also runs Android 4.2 out of the box. The Galaxy S IV retains the menu, back and home buttons, like its predecessors.

The most interesting thing is that the device supports GSM/WCDMA/LTE networks with an Exynos processor on-board. So that means there will be only a one single variant of the device, the GT-I9500. Previously, Samsung used to release two variants of their high-end devices, for example the GT-I9300 and GT-I9305. One variant used to have GSM connectivity and the other one had LTE connectivity but this is not the case with the Galaxy S IV. The Galaxy S IV will be a world phone.

I really hope it only comes in that one flavor. Bet XDA is crapping themselves happy.

The real question is can the make a screen that doesn't suck. Color rendition is an absolute joke on all their devices at the moment, which is hilarious because their actual desktop monitors are generally quite good.

You aren't satisfied with their Super AMOLED screen? What's great about it is that it produces deep black, vibrance and it's energy efficient. I know that the screen doesn't look as bright as a Iphone 5 but hey I love my Galaxy S3. :)

only 1 more week till Samsung's Galaxy S4 announcement event!

I think they can but may not be able to use them legally since they developed good screens for apple devices.

The blacks are nice, that is it. The vibrance and saturation is down right comical compared to a properly color balanced display. And I do mean comical, photography that is color balanced around prints and proper displays looks completely blown out and stupid on it. It has nothing to do with how bright it looks, at all. In fact, I hate how bright most AMOLED's are as well, because you can't dim them to reasonable level and just makes the over saturation issues even more absurd.

Very excited to see how this phone turns out. I love my iPhone 4, but it's showing its age quickly & the 5 ended up disappointing me despite my hype for it.

Lol ya the colors pop so much it's ridiculous. I hate and love it. Depends what you view. It used to bug me a lot but I got used to it now. I have my brightness lower anyway so the colors don't pop as much but still are easy to distinguish from one another.

It's a lot of hype for something that is going to be pretty similar to other phones already on the market... does anyone really see something truly innovative coming from this?

If they put something besides Super AMOLED in it, I may actually consider buying it? You could count that as innovative

I just want the Note 3 to have 32 cores for uber parallel pwnage.

I just want the Note 3 to have 32 cores for uber parallel pwnage.

I honestly question the choice to continue putting more cores in phones at the moment, as very little takes advantage of even 4 cores and it just means more battery drain. And battery life is kind of a consistent problem with Android devices.

Rumour: Galaxy S IV to have Eye-Tacking technology, says NYT:

An anonymous Samsung employee has told the New York times that the next generation of the Galaxy S will have Eye-Tracking technology which will be used for eye-based scrolling. This means that you now no longer have to touch the screen when you wish to scroll the pages you are viewing, a simple positioning of your eyes is enough for the page to scroll as if it were magic.

Smart Stay was one of the most hyped features about the Galaxy S III and worked really well too. So, we know that Samsung has a lot of experience in this field. We will soon find out if this rumour is correct or not as the Samsung Galaxy S IV is all set to be announced on March 14th in New York, USA.
