San Andreas Mods?

Hi all,

I have finally got around to getting San Andreas for the PC. I have already finished the game on the PS2 so im not too bothered about that. I would really like to get into modding the game. Adding new landscapes, vehicles, etc.

I have looked around the net a bit and found a few mods. What I am looking for is a simple guide to get me started. I'm sure a few people around here have done it before so any pointers would be appreciated.

Yeah, i've been looking through that site. It has lots of mods to download, but not many readme files.
 
Yeah I tried to mod my version, but I think I broke the game :D

You really need to make sure you know what to do before you do it.
 
As long as I have the DVD, it can't go that wrong. I'll just reinstall.

Yeah, it would be great that anyone else here plays this as well. As far as I know, MistaX could be joining us as well.

Personally, I'm mainly on the betafield.de Stunt and COPS AND ROBBERS servers. There are always players in them and is quite fun.
 
I may well join you if I can get San Andreas for PC cheap. I've had it since Nov 04 for PS2, but never even thought of a PC version.
I've never installed a game on PC, either!
 
I got a copy of SA the other from Gamestation for £14.99 brand new. The graphics are so much better than the PS2. The only problem I have is finding a gamepad to use on the PC. I have a USB adapter for a PS1 controller but it doesn't like the new PS2 pad very much.
 
I cause some mayhem in the Aussie servers. :)
I go by the name [CBK]Turkey, and our clan has a couple of servers.
I guess I might see some of you in game sometime.

It's still there. When you scan for them, have they all got a name other than "unscanned"? I occasionally get that problem, which doesn't show the server you want to join to.

If not, try quick connecting to the match:

I modded mine to show all the texts in Portuguese, it's really good. I don't think you'd be interested on it though, and besides I did this with the PS2 version.
 
Name your room. James fixed it for me. I was using SA:MP, not Multi Theft Auto.
 
Back to the modding. www.gtainside.com has several different mods. Including car mods, you can put a new Mustang in the game if you want. But be careful. I am currently having trouble downloading them. But go to the website, there is bound to be something good in there.
