hey all u endurance guys out there, im looking for some ideas to do a kinda of competitive endurance. Me and my cousin DLRgian are planning to do the Circuit de la Sarthe 1 on the friday of le sarthe weekend (june 16th) but we were wondering if there is anyway we could set up a kind of competition. Usually we take a really slower car so we can have a challenge with the computer drivers so its not like we pass everyone in the first 10 seconds. But this time around i actually wanted to take a real LMP liek a Pescarolo or R8 so i was thinking if theres anyway on GTP we can hold a kind of competition. The only thing i could think of was like the number of laps but thats not really a competition cause the faster car will win. If anyone can help us out it would be great an idea is needed and it should be something we can verify.

Well for starters set a regulation on the car being used, i.e. All must use Audi R8 with Super hard race tires and stock settings. Something like this will help with the competition part, because that way the fastest driver will win and not the fastest car.

This is a difficult one, we will have to talk this over.

Edit: aladat noob

Pretty much what he said. You need to set rules of the competition so everyone who participates can have a fair advantage and no one is running something that can out run everyone else. I think the one rule about only using LMP cars is a great idea. But yeah, supplying proof for this kind of compatition can be difficult for lots of people. But it's going to something you and friends need to come up with. Whatever the rules are, I'm going to try to participate if I'm able to provide proof based on the rules of providing proof

Hope it works for ya 👍 :)

Ya see that is the difficult thing.

If all drivers were to use the same car or same tires, that'd be great because it'd be all about skill.

Example.

If all drivers were to use Nissan R92CP then it'd be a test of tire choice, Super Hards give long endurence and bad grip while Super Soft give bad endurance great grip.

If all drivers were to use the same tires, it'd be down to car choice and a less agressive drive style.

I'm happy to participate anyway :)

Hmmm sounds good but count me out! I'll be using my TV to watch the real thing! :sly:

I think a range of cars/tyres, otherwise the same car becomes a tad tedious and would put off those who want to try something out.

Ya I will be watching the real race and recording it. :sly:

How long is this endurence going to be?
I probaly wont be able to complete a 24 hour one until the summer holidays now since I've already a speced two of them

Anything around 8-9 hours I can do

Well there are two endurances in the game that are 8-9 hrs in length...

I know, I can do that, but I have no time to do another 24 hour race a spec.

Originally my cousin and I had the idea of doing a Sarthe 24hr race. But with such little time to organize and brainstorm we might have to postpone this a week or so.

I can tell you one thing. There's a car that's not an LMP car that can seriously kick a Mercedes Sauber's butt at Sarthe 24 hrs for 200 A-spec points. That I know for certain. Been there, done that. Haha.

Using anything faster than that certain sleeper car wouldn't be fair to the supposedly quicker LMP cars. Try some cars and see if you can find it.

Beat it twice. Plus a fuji with it and I will go for my 3rd consecutive Sarthe win with it. :sly:
In the CLK GTR of course! To add to my 11,700kms of endurance milage.

The fridge? OOPS I meant the Chapparal 2D?
If you can mange to win Le Sarthe against a Subaru 360 in the doorstop, you are a better driver than I. Le Sarthe is not the 2J's best friend in A-Spec. In B-Spec, however, it will destroy all comers.

Find out yourself.

You should care about fairness, whats the point of buying GT4 if you just want to overkill every race?

They all do exept when on 1-2 speed setting.

Calm down, it's not getting you anywhere asking the same question 5 times.

Use the Minolta, Nissan R92CP or Nissan R89C or the Playstation Pescarlo.
