Save file size enlargement

Yesterday, my GT5 game save file size was 1200kb. Now today (maybe because of update), my save file has enlarged to 2500kb. Just wondering, has anyone else had this, or is it just because of the update?

It's probably because of the update. I wouldn't worry about it though mine is over 5800kb on my main account.

I can confirm that, my files are also +1000kb after the patch.

a small move against the permanent borrowing glitch since more people will have 4165+kb files!

Yeah, maybe they did that on purpose.

A very small move, lol. If you play the game on an older update then the savefile will lose the +1000kb as soon as you start the game and nothing happens. No error message, nothing. And even if the error message would pop up you could still downgrade to 1.10 to get rid of +1000kb and then downgrade again to an ever lower version.
It only takes longer to load the game and it takes longer to backup the savefile. Good work PD... 👎

The increase in size is because the Jeff Gordon suit goes in a newly created Special Suit section in the items menu. The save file size also increased when the Helmets and Suits where added.

This might seem like a stupid question, but what are the ways to reduce the size of your save game file, side from downgrading to v1.10? I'll admit I'm closing in on the limit for using the permanent borrow glitch, but the main reason that I want to know is that as the file size increases, so does the time it takes to save and copy the file to a USB drive for backing up and trade glitching. I have an alternate account, and I've started gifting all my gear, horns, etc. to my alt account, which has made a small dent. As an active trader, I don't really want to waste a trade day sending cars or tickets to my alt account. Any suggestions or am I just SOL?
