well i dont do piracy either but i dont let it raise tensions when the entertainment industry is still making plenty of money to be the striving conglomerate that it is.

Goign back to the subject at hand, here is my review of saw II

The original Saw was an excellent movie, the 2nd best of 2004. And for $1mil is was an amazing acheivement, so this sequal has alot to live up too & alot of hype going into seeing it. thankfully it dosent dissapoint.

The basic story is The "jigsaw" killer is still at large and has another game going, involving a house 6 "strangers" & a poison gas. And he is tormenting the lead cop (forgot his name, but played by Donnie Wahlberg) & his "partner" played by Dina Meya. His game isn't quite as sadisdic as before, but in the end, oh yes!!

Do not, i repeat DO NOT see this movie if your a woose, you will be pooing yourself frequently. Its a true horror, full of horrible deaths & one scene that IMO has the most horrific death i have ever seen on film, it was just URGH!

The lead cops played by Donnie (Mark's bro) Walhberg & Dina (Starship) Meya are very good actors. Donnie is very good at putting over emtion & Dina is well gorgeous! All the actors who are in the house are very good actors too, the only problem being that the characters in the house are extremely cliche'd. You have the good guy black guy, the complete idiot who's only out for no.1, the woosey girl & the *****y girl. Plus 2 others. Very cliche'd, but thats the only quarel.

The twists, well the end twist of the first film was superb & i never saw it coming, so again it's hard to think up something new. There are 2 main twists, 1 very obvious. The other, pure genious! Very well done.

This is a superb horror film. Ok it might have a few plot-holes if you dig away at it, but its so well done that if your like me and like to be drawn into a film you'll love it. Oh and one scene is truelly horrible!

8/10

I saw the first Saw movie, thought it was kinda lame, so I'm not going to bother with the second.

Jack.

First one had many flaws, but second one's supposedly better. I'd rent it when it comes out on DVD.

I saw this tonight, I thought it was an improvement over the first but it could have been better. The acting was better but still not that good, the "traps" and stuff were better in the first movie but not particularly lacking in this one and the twist in Saw 2 was awesome, way cooler and more beliveable than the first one.

More beliveable?? thats an odd way of looking at it. How was the first one not beliveable? it was far fetched, but very clever.

You mean other than the fact that it is virtually impossible to lie in a room so perfectly motionless that other people in the room who've taken notice of you believe you are dead?

The man is clearly very patient, with all the time he spends setting up the traps, he is calm enough to simply lie still for an hour.
Yes it'd be hard, but it wouldnt be possible, not with the right dissapline.

It's possible, but I thought it was a dumb surprise twist in the movie. In a movie like that, you have to fool the audience obviously. What they came up with(guy playing dead the entire movie) was just dumb.

Its not dumb at all, if knowone guessed it (& i doubt they did) then it was cleverly done.
Ok it maybe far fetched. But still a great twist.

i finally saw this movie and it didn't leave me sickened, just wondering.

SPOILER

Everyone had the means to get the serums. Just like how the dude with the spikes cracked open the oven, they coulda tried that before entering the oven. Also, the part where the girl sticks her hands in the little chamber, they coulda just smashed the windows or something. And the rope and urn the girl found while on the stairs coulda been used to fish out the serum. Finally, if the worse of society wasn't put all together, they coulda cooperated to read (and place in order) the numbers off each others neck.

See, if everyone kept rational, such as wahlberg not knowing how jigsaw thinks when he shoulda carefully paid attention to details such as his son being in a "safe" and secure place, everyone would be fine. Just fine.
