so what have you done about it? tried calling the non-free number? tried going there? tried tracking down the owner of the domain and hassling them until you get some contact details for the company? tried talking to your bank to see if you can block that biller from your credit card?

you could always just cancel that credit card and get a new one. alot of places have low intrest rate balance transfers going these days too, you could even save money!

technically, you asked to be signed up for a reservation bargain scheme, which has a fee of $9 per month. they just have crappy customer service so it takes you a long time to get through to them. it's not uncommon to have to spend over an hour on the phone to get out of sucker scams like this

get a speakerphone, or get a new credit card

You should call the 1(800) number on the back of your card, then tell them that you're disputing the charge. Shouldn't be a big deal. Good luck. :)

The credit card company is only likely to help you if you can prove that you have issued an instruction to cease payment, or if the payment was not authorised by you. Since you clicked on a pop-up, and entered your credit card details, you're bummed on that.

I suggest that you write a letter to the company, stating that you feel that you have been misled regarding their services, and instructing them to desist billing your card immediately. Then send a copy of that letter to your credit card company with a covering letter asking them for their assistance in the matter.

It's probable that they won't do anything for 30 days or so, (i.e. one further payment), but then they will help you.

Failing that, cancel the card.

it's a debit card, by the way through 5/3 bank
..........not good. Credit card companies will try to help you out in these situations, but I don't believe debit card offer a similar protection.

ill cancel that account and make a new account if i have to, it doesnt matter how long it takes since im still living at home and i dont have any charges charged to my account except the ones i manually make (such as online orders and store orders)
