These are resized versions of the huge scans in "anyone have play mag" thread, back to 1-2mb IN TOTAL ... (as opposed to several mbs PER PAGE - smallest I could get them without making it unreadable)

(Thanks for the scans anyway shadowhaxor ;))

It say's it will be the last GT for PS2, does that mean PS3 is only a couple of year's away?

Yes of course. Normal lifespan for a playstation console is 5 years, and it was released in 1999. The only reason we don't get it this year is that the PS2 is such a big success and it has had upgrades in terms of on-line and harddrive capabilities. But I expect that in 2005 we'll probably see the first PS3s in Japan.

Yes, the PS3 was going to be released in late 2005, but Sony are having delays with the Cell chip that's supposed to go in it. I say mid to late 2006 is most likely the time when we will see the new machine. And yes, PD is already hard at work on GT5.

The PS3 will have a Blu-ray driver that will playback, and record, high-definition images.

Aren't those just PS2 dev systems with Mac displays which I think he's actually using for testing progressive scan? :P

He may have a switcher hooked up, but no one else would be using Cinema displays for PS2 so testing it on them would be rediculous. I imagine he's using it to edit the videos. That's one of the things we do where I work. I'm sure the Mac is under the desk. I can see a Contour Shuttle (helpful video editing input device) on the desk, which we also have here.

You know what I'm thinking, though, is that this 'office' is just a setup. I bet it's the video editing suite for the magazine that published the article. They probably had him come for an interview and said "sit here and look like you know what you're doin".

Well, certainly possible that he's working on a video ... I'm not saying it's impossible he uses Apple here. But I do also consider it possible that he uses them for the Progressive Scan option. There aren't too many Widescreen screens that support this feature. Also, the keyboard looks exactly like my PS2 keyboard ... :P

You're probably right though ... Although a combination is possible too of course. :)

What kind of "PS2 Keyboard" do you have? Mine is the one that came with the Linux kit. Pretty simple, but I do like it.

I think it's funny that we call the Playstation 2 "PS2", as that is a port on a computer and when you say something like "PS2 keyboard" it doesn't sound right in this context. Especially because the keyboard is actually USB, and PS2 (on a computer) is also a port used by keyboards. ... are you confused yet? because I'm getting there ...

Nissan Primera. Hoefully as fun to drive as it was in GT and GT2.

That OFFICE is the REAL office. I have another mag, what umm GI and the issue with GT4 had an iterview with KY and it was a similar office building . If you notice the big windows in the back the EXACT type of windows were in the building in GI interview with KY. Well im pretty sure its the real office unless GI and PLAY have interviews in the same studio.:irked: And if im correct he also has 5, 6?? Subaru testing stations like seen at the geniva auto show. Also at the top of the building is a rooftop with many of KYs cars sum sports cars and some old junkers, probably staff cars.

If I remember correctly, in a tour of Polypony Digital it shows them using Mac computers, so there's no problem with a Mac being there.

Is what ingame or CG? theres plenty of pics in the article. If it's the GT on the monitor in the pic of KY, it's from a CG movie.

For the car it hardly matters - they are the same car models. We've been seeing some high res pictures that people have called renders before, in this article too, but they are in fact nothing less than screenshots from progressive scan mode. ;) God that must rule, GT4 in Progressive Scan. If only that option was a little more common on TVs ... so far I've only found one single flatscreen philips model that supported it.
