Do any of you have any real scary stories? Real life stuff.

Mine would be:

A few years back, I would say 1998, during the summer, me, my dad, my brother, and my uncle were outside on the patio, and we noticed this thing in the sky. It was glowing pale yellow on its perimiter, and pretty much dark inside of that. It was in the shape of like a B2 Bomber crossed with a Pacman ghost thing. It was still for about 40 or so seconds, until it turned sideways, and shot across the sky at an incredible speed, all silently.

Pretty freaky.

Later in the night when just my uncle and my dad were outside, my dad saw 2 eyes on the garage, and he freaked out. It turned out to be my cat

Share your stories, if ya got em!

well, at 6th grade camp(Patosi MO, it's a YMCA camp thingy, but this was a school week of camping..)me and my other cabin buddies were walking back from the cafatiria from dinner(this was about 8PM, it was pitch black) to our cabin, and we had to go past a cemetary and this old trading post thingy(our cabin was next to the trading post), and we heard "boom bam pop pop pop AHHHHH!!! scratch scratch" and we ran screaming and made it into our cabin and we're all freaking out...so I walked back out on the porch, just to see what the hell was that, and I heard "bang bang chink crack slam" it seriusly sounded like someone was shooting and killing someone in the rundown trading post. So I ran back inside and my conselor was there, and so we're all explaining what we heard and so we're all really freakin out. So then we had to go to bed(manditory bed time was 9pm...), and so we're calming down, but were all still really nervus. Then we hear "crash crash BAM BAM chunk slam" so were all freakin out again, and this time we all get up and go onto the porch, and we see park rangers in there.

Ended up a racoon opened the fridge that was in the trading post(it was rundown, but for some dumb reason there was a fridge in there)and got it's tail caught and it was knocking stuff over and then the fridge tipped over and slammed on the floor, and then it got out of there and jumped onto the plastic roof of the trading post and then ran into the woods...

Pretty freaky...

Um, nothing much (I'm used to raccoons noises, as we have several families that like to visit us)... though there was one time when I was lying in bed, and I thought I heard someone walking outiside (I live in a very rural area, so it couldn't have been a neighbor). Then, I thought I heard "it" break into the house and accidentally knock over a pot... But, the next morning, there was nothing wrong/broken, so my mind must've been fiddling with me. Sure kept me up a long time though.

Oh, and, one time when I was camping high up in the mountains, I was sharing a tent with a friend, and just when we were both about to sleep, we could've sworn we could hear a bear circling our tent, sniffing the fabric (lots of grunting noises). After lying wide-eyed for several minutes, I braved it and peeked out, to find that it was an adult camper snoring.

ohh and here's another:

Me, my dad, and my bro went to this motorcycle junkyard in the city(St.Louis city...it's like right in the city limits)made out of a very old rundown hotel. So the 2nd level(building is a 2 story)had all of the big motorcycle parts, and there's no lights, floor has holes and missing wood slats, everywhere you walk it creaks, it's like a nightmare. So, being really light, I'm walking around like nothing could happen, while my bro is tip toeing really slowly and watching every step. So before we went up there, the owner told us that the elevator shaft goes down 100 feet to a really low basement(I guess that it's below all of the city pipes and stuff), and it was a freight elevator, so it's just a huge hole in the floor. So I'm scared of hights, so I stay away from it, but my bro goes right up to the edge, and is standing less then a foot from the edge and looking strait down, and my dad comes quietly up behind him and grabs him and he let out this death scream and ran lol...he thought he was going to die.

Ohh and another time me and my dad were in an elevator at this old place, and my dad decides to shake the car by jumping a little and swaying side to side(he's 6'4"). So I'm telling him to stop, and he doesn't, then "POP!!!", and the car fell a foot, before going back up at an angle...freaked me out, I was on the floor of the elevator and as soon as it opened I ran out...
On the way down we took a different elevator, and he didn't jump...

i saw my grandmother naked at the age of 7...

is that scary enough?

Okay, once I was asleep at about midnight in our small student house at the University of Pennsylvania, when outside from below my window I heard two or three piercing screams - laid awake for about an hour before three more piercing screams came...we never found out what it was, no blood was around when we woke up the next morning (though a week later, I found a dead bird on my windshield...hmmmmm....:D)

One crazy story happened a few years ago in Colorado. I was at my brother's house eating on the back porch with his family and suddenly we heard this sound like waves crashing on a beach. My brother says, "What is that?" One of his kids says, "It's wind," but I said, "The trees aren't blowing - how can it be wind?" Within a second the huge hail started falling all over - my girlfriend's car was dented all over the place & her sunroof was broken. Tough luck, I guess.

Also, at my grandma's house(my mom's mom, lives near us), my mom and grandma were doing something, so I decided to go pet the cat who was on my grandma's bed so I walk and as soon as I enter the room, I almost faint, like blackout, it was really screwey, I felt like a huge pressure change or something, and then I had to hold onto stuff to stop from falling...my grandpa died in '94, and this happened last year...I think her house is haunted or something cause sometimes I'll get really lightheaded going into different rooms...

Also on the 4th of July several years ago, we're watching fireworks on the side of the road(common place to watch, it's on a hill) and suddenely this blue light thingy flew right past me making a buzzing sound, it was like a foot long rod of something, we all saw it but my parents dismissed it as part of a firework(even though the ones we were watching were being launced at least a mile away...)

Freaky stuff happens to me...

OK, I've got a couple.

Probably the wierdest thing that ever happened to me was driving home after a party one summer night. We lived 'way out in the sticks, and I was driving my old Pontiac convertible with the top down, listening to crickets and peeper toads and loons calling. It was kind of cool out, and really foggy, so I was not going too fast. I came around a left turn, and there was a f-HUGE Black Angus bull standing directly in the middle of the road, steam blowing out of its nosrtils, and its eyes glowing red like coals in my headlights. I spiked the brakes, and the car slid to a stop sideways, with the passenger side door touching the bull's chest. I froze, it stared at me from across the car, snorted a couple times (with little jets of steam), and walked off into the fog. I never saw it again.

Another time I was driving home really late (we lived far away from all my friends) and I stopped at the single red light in a small town on the way. I put the car in park and rested my head on the steering wheel for a minute. When I looked up, the light was green, so I drove on home. When I got home, I suddenly realized it had taken me more than an hour and a half to make a 45-minute trip. I apparently had checked out for nearly an hour with the car idling in the middle of the street.

Two storm stories: we lived at the top off a hill overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, so there were a lot of sudden squalls and things that would boil up. One night I was standing in my window watching a violent thunderstorm, when suddenly a huge old tree got blown over in our back yard, straight toward me. I heard a huge crash of branches, etc, and when we went out the next morning, the screen of the window was torn straight down the middle about 8" in front of where I had been standing, but the glass wasn't damaged.

Last but not least one afternoon I was watching a storm down on the Bay, when out of nowhere a stroke of lighting hit the ground between our barn and a big tree about 50 feet away. The static discharge freaked out my nervous system and I fell flat on my ass with my arms and legs sticking straight out and rigid like a doll. My ears rang from the thunderclap all afternoon.

Whew! Longer than usual...

This is a true story. (http://www.snopes.com)

[Smith, 1983]
Returning to the car he had left in a nearby car park, a friend of a cousin of mine was rather perturbed to find one side of the vehicle all scratched and dinted. Seeing a note on the windscreen, he breathed a sigh of relief, for he thought that the culprit had left his name and address so, at least, he could make a claim for the damage against the other driver's insurance company. However, on opening the note, his relief turned to dismay when he read:

Dear Driver,
I have just run into your car and made a hell of a mess of it. As a crowd had gathered, I am forced to appear as if writing you this note to apologise and to leave you my name and address. As you can see, however, this I have not done.

A Well-Wisher

One time me and my friend where staying at this house, with my family. Me and My fried where in bed, and then as we where watching TV we could hear the stairs creak, as if someone was walking on them. So me and my friend got out of bed and walked over there, but first we checked the bed rooms of my parents and sis. they where all in bed. So now we walked down the stairs and then looked around. We saw nothing but then a slight gust of wind blew passed our feet, and then a larger one. it sent the chills right up my spine. By now me and my friend were holding each other. we looked all over slowly, then when we where about to leave we both heard a step and then we stoppeed and we didn't hear another. But then suddenly *thump thump thump* the foot steps became really fast really quickly, and a shadow whoosed by us causing another gust of wind. We ran upstairs and were freaked out. We never heard a door open or shut. And we keep all windows and doors shut so the wind couldn't of been blowing.
