Well, I blew it

I looped it just like Juan-Pablo on the last corner of my third lap. The good news is that I kept it out of the pits this time, and finished the race. The bad news is that the spin cost me about 12 seconds
Other than that, the race we great. One of my best so far. I had no AI contact at all! Not even them hitting me

I managed to get them 2 or 3 at a time down the main straight, and only had to make a couple of passes on the rest of the course. My laps were a bit slower than I'd have liked, but after the spin, I decided caution was the better part of valor, and started using the break a bit for the last turn. In all of my practice laps (150 miles worth) I only had a spin like that once, and wasn't finding it too difficult to make the last corner with only a lift. By braking, I was losing about 0.500 a lap

The car was just too inconsistent to risk it. The Mazda likes flat tracks with low speed corners, but bumps and fast sweepers just don't agree with it.
Only two incidents, other than the spin to report. On lap 2, I cut the left before T2, getting all 4 wheels onto the bricks, which I didn't realize until after the race. On lap 7, I mis-judged the turn in, and cut across the concrete before the 1st tunnel. As soon as I realized I was going to cut it, I let off, but I still ended up with my best T1 (26.9), which lead to my best lap, but only by 0.010, as I got flustered by the cut.
The field I got was:
1. Subaru Legacy Wagon 2.0 GT '98
2. Subaru Impreza Coupe 22-B STI-Ver. '98
3. Honda NSX Type S Zero '97
4. Nissan Skyline GT-R '99
5. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII RS '98
6. Mazda Mazda 6 5-Door '03
Best Practice Lap: 26.7 / 58.1
Best Race Lap: 27.1 / 58.5 (lap 7, with the cut, was faster overall, but had a slower T2)
