I'm probably going to donate blood next week.

I'm more worried about passing out from the loss of blood than about the needle. There isn't a whole lot of me to give. ;)

I'll never donate blood. The thought of doing it makes me quesy. I'm kinda a big wuss about needles, but it never hurts afterward. I won't feel it if I get a huge cut but a tiny needle freaks me out.

I believe it was the smallpox vaccine. Glad they don't do that anymore

It makes me queasy too, but I figure the people who need that blood are suffering a great deal more pain than I will. If I was in their situation, I'd certainly want somebody to suck it up for me.

When I first read this I thought that the shot might be fore smallpox, which they don't give to most people anymore, but it doesn't sound like it. Smallpox vaccines left a scar.
My Mum, Dad, Nan and probably other people I know have got a scar from the BCG injection. The nurse said I'll probably get a scar from it so it might have been the BCG injection.

My get my school leavers jab tommorow. :)

What? I'm in the same school year as you and we have heard nothing about it. Must be a different county thing. Oh well.

The Dr. says I can get it anytime I want. Sooner is better than later.

What I hate the msot is when they take a long time to do it. They spend like +30 seconds injecting the crap in your arm, it's just nuts. I can't stand that, argh. The actual prick in the arm doesn't hurt, I think them taking it out hurts more.

What freaks out for me is putting the needle in. You expect it to hurt but it doesn't. I've never had 30+ second jab but I know what you mean.

Guys, I've just had the jab and I'm glad to say that I only felt a prick. It was no way as bad as the BCG. In fact it was better than the flu jab.

The nurse said I'll feel under-the-weather for a few days and my arm will hurt for the same time too.

I still HATE injections though.
