School - everyone's favorite word.

When do you guys start school, or have you already? If you haven't started already are you looking foward to it?

Tomorrow morning will be my first day of college at the TTC Berkeley Campus, and I'm extremely excited about it. I never pictured myself going to college for some reason. I guess I just didn't want to do any extra schooling unless I absolutely had to, but that's changed.

I had originally wanted to take classes at the Main Campus, but they didn't offer the classes that I was interested in so I checked out the Berkely Campus because they did offer the classes. I found out that if I went to the Berkely Campus I'd have a 37 miles drive there, and an equally long trip home, so I thought I'd check into some other classes at the Main Campus. After looking at other classes I decided I wasn't going to be taking classes I had absolutely no desire to take because I would be miserable, and I went and registered at the Berkely Campus. The drive there is awesome. It takes exactly 45 minutes(or, at least it has the 3 times I've already driven it) to get there, and it's down long, and occasionally slightly twisty, highways through some nice woods.

I'm going to be taking an Aviation Maintenance Technology class. After I'm done with two years I'll be qualified to go get my A&P Technicians license if I choose to do so. Anyhoo, behind the "shop" area of the classrooms they have a huge parking area where, if I remember correctly, two twin-prop planes, two single props, a Saberliner(twin jet engines), and like 2-3 helicopters are parked. One of the instructors told me that there were a few more aircraft in the hangars behind where the planes are parked too.

Meh. I don't even know if I'm making sense anymore. I'm just really excited, and hope you guys are as well. Good luck to all of you going to, and already in, school.👍

I started my Freshman year of highschool about 2 weeks ago. I'm taking Biology1, Geometry, MS Studies/World Geography, Art1, Football, and a Study Hall. I'm in the group with all of the smart Freshman that are taking classes with Seniors and stuff(ie: Geometry)

I sart my second week of school tomorrow. I'm not very excited about it, but atleast I'm not sitting at home doing nothing all day long.

I started on the 21st of August. The 2 days I had went good. No one bothered me, and it's fun going out to your car at lunch with a group of people and then walking around the lot looking at all of the cars. What's better is that last year, when I had to take the bus, I was picked up at 7:15, and now I can leave at 7:35. Also, I would get home at around 3:30, and now I can blaze home at 3. And then there's the whole thing of driving there and back. Being able to push a 82hp 1.6L 323 up to 80+mph flat out from a corner at 10mph before cruising and then taking a banked exit ramp with a 25mph suggested speed at 50+mph with the 323 accomplishing more lateral force than you'd ever think it could do, and I haven't even gotten the tires screaming yet. :)

So to sum it up, the drive home more than makes up for the day of boredom.

Seniors at your school take Geometry??? Eeek. Anyway, I start Sept. 3rd.

Congratulations Josh! :) Glad to hear things are going well for you.

My semester starts tomorrow; my first class is on Tuesday. I'm very excited... I love school! I have a year and a half until I get my first degree and then I'll be working FT and taking evening classes. My kids start school on Wednesday. One's going into kindergarten and the other is going into second grade. I feel so old!!

On the 28th of August i'm going be be a Junior (Gr. 11) at my high school. And yes i am looking forward to going back, becasue as i've said before i get to take cool classes this year like Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. I also have 3 grades under me now that i can boss around.

Hopefully i get a gr. 8 in the locker next to me this year, that could be fun.

It's 6:40 a.m on Aug 25 and today is my first day of 10th grade.

Just to be diff. I'll list my classes (not in order)

Chemistry 1 honors, English 2 Honors, Gym, Strings (violin), Anatomy and Physiology Honors, Geometry Honors, Spanish 1.

I'm starting today, 25:th. Just about to hop on my bike and go to the registration at The Stockholm University. I'm on my 3:rd term of 10 and in the end I will (hopefully) be a psychologist/shrink or what it's called.

Feels good to be back on track although the first 5 weeks will be a little boring, we will study methods of research, but then it's group psychology for the rest of the term!

Good luck Josh! hope you'll like it there. Have you any experiences from airport/aviation? I did my military service at an airport and I got a picture in general that working with planes/flight in anyway is interesting and sort of exclusive no matter where or with what you work.

Math 11 Honours

My Dad's been flying for the Air Force as long as I've been alive. He's been flying for them for 20+ years. He flew for Atlas Air at one point, and he's been flying for American Airlines for quite some time now. I've lived on a few different bases growing up, and have flown many times with my Dad in his own personal planes(Bonanza, and a 172).

My dream has always been to become a pilot for the AF, then go on to become a commercial airline pilot, but I've put that on hold for a few years. I think I'm going to learn to work on them, then either get my private pilots license, or go to a 2 year flight school, then take two more years of college, then join the AF as an officer, and do their flight training. Or something - we'll see how things work out.

BTW- I'm classmates with two people that my Dad works with. My Dad's an 04(Major) soon-to-be 05(Lieutenant Colonel) in the AF, and two crewchiefs he knows are in my aviation class.:odd:

I'm the youngest(18) person in my class. The second youngest is easily 23-25 years old. The oldest being 55+ There's 11 people in the class, and I'm one of about 3 students who doesn't have a kid. One of the crewchiefs has been in the AF for 7 years, has 3 kids, and has been married 7 years. Screw that.

Oh, and - one guy's wife baked the entire class chocolate chip cookies.👍

Jeez, I wish MY dad was that cool. Instead, he has to be the big wheel at the bread factory. :p

Aahh - Then you know what I'm talking about, I guess.. My second choise to psychology would probably have been something in aviation. There's an air (!) there that you can't get in any other places.

I was about to take it last year but that would have meant that this year I would b taking the bus to the high school every day to take Geometry for first block.

I start my senior year of high school on September 3rd. I need to figure out what I'm doing for college soon!

I guess maybe I should list my schedule.

Honors Physics
AP Psychology
Honors Managemnet Economics [I need to change that. I took AP Econ last year and I think this is a step down.]
CAD 2
AP English
Honors Precalc

Awesome!
