Driving position and visibility of the instrument panel are two different things. :p

They're semi-related. If you get one right, it should ideally include the other. I can't recall how much adjustment the steering wheel has, but wherever it was when I sat in the car allowed me to see all the instruments just fine.

Not bad. If he keeps pushing the car like that once in a while, he will probably go a bit faster.

The engine just sounds so...boring. If I was in the position to buy one, I might look elsewhere purely because of that.

And if you were in the position to buy one toyota/subaru might listen. :p

The average 4 sounds bad, the question should be what does this sound like compared to cars like the miata?

Btw add the sti hiss to the brz and complaints will be reduced dramatically. :trouble:

I think it sounds great. You can hear a little of the Subaru burble when it idles. To me has a nice throaty growl to it under hard acceleration. There are worse sounding cars.

I test drove the FR-S and I liked a lot.

Everything around the driver seems perfect. All controls are easy to reach and visibility is pretty good as well. I didn't get to go nuts with the car but the steering felt very responsive. The power was nice too, it's not a rocket but you can still have fun with it.

The Brz/FR-S would be a nice daily driver and fun auto-x car. It's the only other car I can see myself driving if I didn't need the space in my WRX hatch.

How to drive customers away? Use dubstep in your commercial. Success, Subaru.

Very unSubaru like commercial but more or less along the same lines as their WRX/STI spots with Mirra.

New BRZ ad. Sounds like they want to steal some customers from Scion.

Now thats a Rebadged Toyota 86 I'd like to have. Steal customers from Scion? I'm okay with this :trouble:

Toyota sent me these for registering interest of the 86, it makes for interesting reading.

Very sad that they have to pipe in a V8 soundtrack.

That ad just does not work for me. And, Excision dubstep? I like Excision but seriously, in a car commercial. No.

You just made finding that song easier 👍

First car commercial I've seen with dubstep and I kinda like it.

Dubstep currently is a big thing amongst this cars target market. Toyota will have to have a serious bass drop to steal sales back :)

No it's not. Very few under-25s have the money to buy FR-S/BRZ, so it cannot possibly be the target market. The ad is okay if it never makes it out of the forums populated by the younger crowd. I imagine it would seriously annoy most regular Subaru owners if it was aired on TV.

They believe the youth market to be the people to buy this so they figured "Dubstep". It CAN work well, remember the gt5 Acura NSX teaser?

Drum & Bass and Dubstep, not the same thing.

I'm not a dubstep fan by any means, but I can't see the issue with it being used for the advert. Dramatic music for a dramatic car.

It's far less annoying than the god-awful cover version of the Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen In Love" we get in our ad for the new Kia Cee'd.

Well, I went to a 86 mini promotion deal yesterday. It was pretty cool. They had Oshima Kazuya there driving the 86 around a small circuit of the name Honjo. I got to talk to him for awhile since he recognized me :D But, I took some pictures of the tuned 86's that were there. There were a lot more but, just didn't really have time to take photos.
