Well I see my use of flamboyant was a bit out of place. By flamboyant, I mean built well, not slammed on budget coilovers with neon colored knock off wheels on them. And there's actually a very small amount of bugeyes here. I couldn't even tell you where one might be sitting compared to the map I could make of the locations of numerous blobeyes and hawkeyes. Of course there's the inevitable budget built car here and there but the majority of them are well to extremely modded.

I want to see the dyno curve with one of those superchargers on it like Nobu's HKS car.

Saw a bright blue metallic FRS today, it looks very nice. Also saw the new Dart, looks VERY aggressive

The FR-S is only available in a dark metallic blue. The BRZ's blue is much brighter.

Maybe it was a BRZ, cause it was bright. Whats the difference between the two?

The stock wheels are a real disappointment for me, I'd much rather have any number of other wheels from either manufacturer.

I feel like they simply took two designs and couldn't decide on one so they used both instead. Looks cluttered imo and reminds me more of truck wheels than sports car wheels.

Simply put, my first and only mod on a warranty'd FRS would be the wheels.

Btw, Im starting to wonder when we will see more engine swaps... The bay is so much larger than I expected, I wouldn't be surprised to see more and more of the Orido style swaps. :scared:

The rims don't look too bad in my opinion, but if I got an FR-S or BRZ the first thing I would have done is change them out for a set of BBS, Enkei, or Ray's Engineering.

Same. Don't mind the original ones (certainly prefer them to those horrifically dull stock Impreza 2.5 wheels, which look like something you'd find on a 1990s Hyundai) but there are some pretty tasty aftermarket ones out there.

Tbh, I thought I'd dump them on day one, but they grew on me. That said, I'm gonna try to procure JDM STI option wheels.

Factory wheels are boring. Mine would get snow tires while something mad JDM would see summer duty.

NEWS -> Wald did something to the 86:

^ What do you guys think?

-> And oh by the way, the gold BBS would look teh sickness on a WR Blue BRZ. :D

They would like nice in the classic gold color.

The blue/gold thing is hugely played out now. We've been getting Imprezas in the UK with blue paint and gold wheels since 1995, but when 90 percent of Imprezas sold after then have been in the exact same colour scheme, it gets a bit tedious.

Vertically stacked pipes were never, ever a good idea.

Four tail pipes on anything that couldn't pull the skin of rice pudding is never a good idea either.

While we're on bodykits, I wonder why nobody has just released a simple, elegant street version of the SuperGT BRZ's front fascia.

The only bit of the Wald kit I'd have is the ducktail rear spoiler. I reckon it'd still look okay without all the other bits, and it certainly looks better than the standard BRZ/86 spoiler.

Front and rear spoilers are alright, the rest is too gaudy and overdone. Even the front spoiler is a bit too pointy.
