Edit 06/29: So I'm going to let you guys pick which car we run. I'm having a blast in either of these, so it's really up to you. This race will be run in my personal lobby to minimize Randoms going in and out during the race.

Here's the basics:
  • 16 Available Entries
  • Saturday July 7th
  • 5:00pm EDT
  • 2:00pm Pacific
  • 9:00pm GMT? (someone confirm)
  • 10 minute qualifying race (grid based on signups)
  • 45 minute feature race (grid based on Q-race finish order)

Sorry guys didn't get the specs, etc last night like I wanted. I got home and was watching a movie and dozed off. Will try to do it tonight.
 
Just making an observation: wouldn't restricted tuning be better for such a short notice spot race?

I should be around the house at that time on Saturday, I'll join if I can.
 
I like the idea of completely stock GT-R's, makes for closer racing, and it's kind of more fair. Just my opinion though.
 
You want stock cars, join the GT Academy rooms. :)

Yeah. I'll get everything updated fully Friday night. I still have to get the track, which I'm hoping to do later tonight or tomorrow evening.
 
May be changing this to something else and delaying a week. Details to come.

Oh grrr I like the GTR but the no ABS in the Scion/Toyota aggggg.
 
As much as I tried to make it work, the GT-R with no ABS just isn't doable in online racing. You have to be really careful with it which I think is too much to ask of most people in GT5. The FR-S however works great without ABS, similar to the IS-F RM.
 
I guess the GTRs brakes do feel a bitty wierd even ABS on but I like the GTR for spec racing etc but I think i'll go with the little 86/FR-S :).
 
I will be on later tonight running the FR-S in my lounge on Motegi if anyone wants to stop by. I'll keep the settings open so people can test the GT-R as well if they want.

I voted but it looks like I wont be able to make the race 👎. Will keep an eye out if anything changes... Last couple nights I was running an 86 vs FR-S room at Motegi with tuning prohibited / SH tires, provided great racing just about every race.
 
I'm currently in my lounge doing some testing with the FR-S. Doing 2:16's and loving every minute of it. May turn this into a series. Anyone is welcome to drop by. Send a FR if needed.

I like the FR-S far more but have little experience sans ABS, so I voted GT-R.
