My guess is Jordan switched off the sorting to save on server power, same as he disabled Search and RSS earlier.
OK, didn't even realise it worked like that.👍
SweatshopUnion is correct - the list is no longer sorted to help reduce server load. The front page of the forums is the most visited page on the site, so it's important to reduce its impact as much as possible. Is there any reason that the list of online users at the bottom of the forums main page is not in alphabetical order when I switched on today?
When you add people to your Friends list, a '+' will appear next to their name, making them easier to find in the unsorted list.I noticed that too, makes it very confusing when I was looking for my friends.![]()

Probably because of the sudden huge activity in the forums because of GT5 and GT mobile.
Doesn't change the fact that you didn't read post number 2, 6 or the quote in 7.I just came on for the first time since sunday

Would you be able to further reduce sever load by disabling it in all forums, not just the main forum home page? I noticed in every sub-forum it is still sorted.
Yep, yesterday was the second highest day of traffic ever, with 36,551 unique visitors.Yep, I know. That was helpful. I shouldn't have said friends, that was very loosely used by me. I was looking for a user last night and couldn't find it.But it's fine, the website seemed 'packed' yesterday. At one point there was over 530 people viewing the GT5 section in the aussie afternoon!
Probably, but I can't really do that. Apparently the setting in the forum software's control panel does not affect the other lists. It's most likely just something the developers overlooked. I still can't believe you guys notice these things...Would you be able to further reduce sever load by disabling it in all forums, not just the main forum home page? Could the list be unscrambled again?![]()
