GT4 had 2 screen display options in race settings, normal and simple (simple FTW)

what kind of HUD options does GT5P have? is it fully customizable or pre-set.

haha, lol, that's the physics option BB-ANDY-

To answer nissan tuner's question: You can only choose between kph and mph and that's it. The map and everything else is always present and can't be switched off.

For the cockpit view I think the best would be to have no HUD at all, it would give it a better sense of realism. Sadly in GT5P the HUD is fixed and you can't really change a thing about it.

👍 Turn it all off. That track map goes right across the rear view mirror in most if not all cars :irked:

I only ever look at the track map - they should make it bigger and get rid of the distracting 3d display

I'd prefer most of the extraneous stuff going, apart from maybe the lap timer. I race on interior view on a standard def TV and can barely see most of the interior for all the gauges. On all previous GTs and TT I switched as much off as possible.

for GT5, i hope no HUD is an option. i want to only read the car guages to know my rpm's and speed. in GT4 it was kinda hard with the weird incremental scale.

I think it wouldn't be hard to have custom HUD, just some on/off buttons on the menu, that way you can keep only what you need.

HUD option is coming with GT10!
They are working on it

@peeweegary : you're against an option for people having something that annoys them turned off while you still could have it on? interesting from a psychological view
