Whenever I search for anything using the forum's search, it comes up with no results. It's been going on for a little while but it would be useful to have when referencing stuff from a long time ago.

A while ago, I tried using keywords "VW," "GTI," "Volkswagen," and probably a few others to find one of my old threads, but didn't come up with anything. However, today it worked once searching for "Audi" in the Auto News section. Although just a few minutes ago, "370" didn't produce anything, even though I'm sure we've had discussion about the 370Z before.

Am I doing something stupid or is this just not working properly?

For some reason you can't search for things that are three letters or less. That's why Audi worked, but the others didn't.

Well hey look at this thread. Says that search function doesn't work right all the time..
It really does suck to search for things that do exist and be able to find them though doesn't it?

Jordan explains the search problem in this thread here.👍

Philly's problem, not bergauk's.

I would have searched, but I thought searching for a fix to the not working search function wouldn't end up being very productive .

Good to know there is a solution (even though it is the Google function, which I never liked.) Thanks again, Loon! 👍

Then explain how when I searched the same exact thing as you, it did not appear.

You were typing with your face?

I searched for Nissan.com and restricted it to posts over a year old (to exclude the recent additions to the thread). Top of the list? The thread to which you're currently referring.
